The Senior Construction Manager leads all aspects of telecommunications equipment deployment for assigned sites, serving as the market's key decision-maker on technical, operational, and contractual matters. Responsibilities include assessing site readiness, selecting and negotiating with suppliers, managing non-FPP work, resolving equipment and materials issues, planning and scheduling construction, managing budgets, and overseeing complex projects. The role also involves delegating tasks to field teams, acting as an escalation point, and mentoring Field Construction Managers with support from coordinators and remote managers\nWhat you will do:\nManage activities and personnel from Ericsson, our customers, and suppliers, in accordance with Ericsson requirements and customer contracts.\nOversee budget management and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.\nEnsure work is executed in compliance with Project OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements.\nOrganize and coordinate rollouts effectively.\nHandle work orders and manage compensation processes.\nPlan and follow up on quality assurance activities to ensure project standards are met.\nProvide effort estimates (hours, scope) during pre-sales and early project phases to support budgeting\nInterpret customer scope, throughput targets, and end requirements; plan and manage execution accordingly\nAssess site suitability and determine build approach (self-perform vs. suppliers)\nSelect and manage suppliers based on expertise, cost, and delivery needs\nThe skills you bring:\nBachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other science discipline. \nAt least 6 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and hands on Construction experience is required\nProven ability to provide design solutions and guide order of operations\nSkilled in determining site feasibility and offering site design consulting\nDirect knowledge of general construction processes and procedures\nExperience managing and directing contractors, estimating scope for civils, ground, L&A, backhaul, and maintenance\nAbility to enforce Ericsson and customer construction and quality standards\nStrong troubleshooting skills\nDeep understanding of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, landlord negotiations, leasing laws, jurisdictional requirements, and environmental compliance\nAbility to interface with customers, property owners, and internal/external personnel\nStrong contract knowledge (leasing, vendor-facing, customer-facing) and financial acumen\nProven leadership skills\nStrong understanding of EHS statutory requirements\nCompletion of OSHA 30-hour telecom course\nExperience with Ericsson equipment portfolio is a plus\nSignificant, hands-on experience in managing construction projects, particularly in the area of tower new site builds\nExperience scoping NSB and NSB Power and Fiber Walks\nExperience leading Civil Construction including fiber, commercial power, and site conditioning (trenching, fencing, conduit, concrete, roads, etc.)\nWhy join Ericsson?
