In this role, you will work within Ericsson's radio lab, developing hands-on familiarity with Ericsson's radio software and hardware products through rigorous product testing. You will be exposed to the latest radio products ahead of their deployment in major North American customer networks, with the primary goal of validating functionality and resolving issues before network-wide rollout. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams - including development and customer units - as well as direct customer engagement. You may also contribute to automation initiatives designed to improve and accelerate the testing process.\nWhat you will do\nAnalyze requirements and specifications to design, document, and execute test cases \nPartner with the Customer Project Manager (CPM) and customers to define scope, timelines, Test Object Lists, and risk assessments \nPerform lab and field configuration for feature testing and record results \nTroubleshoot, document, and track defects; resolve technical issues in existing networks \nProduce feature test reports and present progress updates for customer acceptance \nSupport integration, certification, and implementation of 4G LTE/5G into customer lab and production environments \nSupport Ericsson New Product Introduction (NPI) projects including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting for baseband units and radios across band operations \nDemonstrate new software/hardware capabilities and run proofs of concept with customers on pre-commercial products \nServe as technical point of contact for the CPM, customer, and Engineering Unit throughout the project lifecycle \nIdentify opportunities for additional solutions and services \nLead test activities and support the development of newer team members \nThe skills you bring\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field \nTypically, at least 2-6 years of relevant experience in telecom, ideally in the radio/RAN domain, with hands-on experience in LTE and/or 5G RAN software or hardware. \nExperience with integration, certification, and implementation of 4G LTE/5G into customer lab and production networks, including RAN troubleshooting \nProficiency with NSA NR, SA NR, carrier aggregation, and 4G/5G multi-band technologies, including network architecture and call flows \nFamiliarity with end-to-end feature testing, First Office Applications (FOAs), and adherence to schedules and contractual commitments \nExperience with protocol verification tools such as QXDM, XCAL, or XCAP \nBackground in communications theory, digital signal processing, Linux, and data analysis \nStrong communication skills in English with the ability to engage confidently with customers \nAI is becoming core to how we build and deliver at Ericsson.
