Ericsson also does not hire F-1's working on CPT or EAD for this position.\nNote: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement (CFIUS), only U.S. Citizens are eligible for this position.\nAbout this opportunity\nThis is a remote position involving close collaboration with a small, specialized technical team supporting the CFIUS data center in Somerset, New Jersey, which services OSS Classic (fTelcordia) products.\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our z/OS platform software development data center team in the USA. In this role, you will serve as the primary storage subject matter expert, responsible for the administration, security, performance, and availability of our enterprise storage infrastructure - including IBM DS8000 storage systems, TS7700 virtual tape environments, data lifecycle management, encryption, and backup solutions. This position also includes keeping current support of miscellaneous third-party software products and assisting with other systems support activities as needed. Some travel to our data center in Somerset, New Jersey is required, along with occasional availability outside standard working hours (approximately twice a month).\nWhat you will do\nAdminister and support IBM z16 storage environments running z/OS\nManage and maintain DFSMS, DFSMShsm (HSM), and ISMF storage management functions\nConfigure and support IBM DS8884, DS8910F, TS7700, TS3000, and TS3500 storage platforms\nAdminister GKLM (Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager) encryption\nManage storage capacity, performance tuning, backup, and recovery processes\nMaintain HSM migration, backup, recall, and recovery policies\nAdminister and support the CA/Broadcom CA 1 Tape Management product\nPerform troubleshooting of storage hardware, FICON, and SAN infrastructure\nPerform regularly scheduled semi-monthly system backups\nMust be available to work outside of standard working hours to support and troubleshoot as needed (approximately twice a month)\nAbility to travel to data center located in Somerset, New Jersey for on-site work as needed\nLocation: New Jersey is preferred but will consider New York or Pennsylvania locations within commutable distance to Somerset, New Jersey.\nNote: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement (CFIUS), only U.S. Citizens are eligible for this position.\nThe skills you bring\nYou must have:\nU.S. Citizenship is required\nAt least 7 years of hands-on z/OS experience with expertise in IBM storage management\nStrong expertise in:DFSMS\nDFSMShsm (HSM)\nISMF\nz/OS Storage Management\nStorage Encryption Technologies\nGKLM/ISKLM\nCA 1 Tape Management\n\nHands-on HW experience with:IBM DS8884 and DS8910F\nIBM TS7760\nIBM TS3000\nIBM TS3500\n\nProven experience with storage replication and business continuity solutions\nDemonstrated experience administering CA/Broadcom storage management products\nStrong knowledge of physical storage hardware, FICON, and SAN environments\nEffective communication, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills\nAbility to research independently with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset\nIt would be nice if you also have:\nIBM Storage or Mainframe certifications\nExperience with large-scale enterprise storage environments\nPrior experience supporting third party software (e.g., SAS, FOCUS, Syncsort, IOF) is a plus\nIBM Storage or Mainframe certifications are a plus\nWhy join Ericsson?\nAt Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
