We welcome recent graduates and candidates with up to around five years of relevant experience in storage systems or DevOps. You don’t need to be a security specialist: we’re looking for someone who wants to build and operate services with security built in. DevOps and infrastructure candidates are encouraged to apply.\nWhat you’ll do\nTurn requirements into practical, cost-effective storage service designs, and contribute to service architecture and improvements.\nHelp install, configure, upgrade, patch, repair and retire storage hardware and software, primarily in on-premises environments, with growing connections to hybrid cloud.\nAutomate repeatable tasks and improve how services are delivered and operated.\nSupport service availability through proactive monitoring, alerts, audit and log reviews, and 2nd- and 3rd-line troubleshooting.\nCoordinate data migrations and work with users, operations teams, suppliers and vendors to deliver changes and resolve issues.\nTake part in asset, change, incident, problem and request handling; help manage access, identities, certificates and security zones.\nApply Ericsson security requirements and good practice through risk and security assessments, quality assurance and business continuity planning.\nKeep service, system, project and operating documentation current; identify risks and impediments and suggest better ways of working.\nSkills you’ll bring\nA BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field-or equivalent knowledge.\nRelevant experience, study or hands-on projects in storage, infrastructure, systems administration or DevOps; early-career applicants are very welcome.\nInterest in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, DAS and cloud storage, and protocols such as SCSI, NFS or SMB.\nFamiliarity with platforms such as NetApp, Dell, Pure or HPE, or the motivation to learn them.\nInterest in scripting and automation. Python, PowerShell and Ansible are useful; other languages and tools are welcome.\nA service-minded approach to reliability, security and ownership, plus clear communication and documentation skills in English.\nA collaborative, curious, can-do attitude and care for well-built services.\nExperience with virtualization, containers, cloud, microservices, software architecture, agile development or continuous integration is beneficial, not essential.\nWhy Ericsson Lab Operations?\nWork with an open team supporting services used by R&D around the world.
