Hybrid work schedule\nThis is not a remote work opportunity\nEricsson Austin is looking for a Senior System Virtual Platform (SVP) Engineer to join a growing world-class semiconductor development organization and to help drive excellence in our 5G and 6G network products. This role plays an important part in SoC verification by developing virtual models and enabling pre-silicon software development.\nAs an SVP Developer, you will be part of a dynamic and functionally diverse team with opportunities for gaining exposure to modeling, SW driven verification, and HW emulation/acceleration.\nWhat you will do:\nDevelop and integrate Transaction Level Models (TLMs) in SystemC/C++ based on hardware specifications and software use cases\nDesign, develop, and debug test environments to validate and qualify virtual SoCs\nDefine test plans and coverage metrics to qualify virtual platform releases\nExecute hardware/software co-simulation, root-cause analysis, and system-level debugging\nDrive collaboration with IP and system architects to translate hardware requirements into effective virtual platform solutions\nPartner with IP teams to support and accelerate their RTL verification efforts\nEngage with EDA partners on virtual prototyping tools and methodology\nEnable multiple software teams to begin early, high-impact development for future ASIC platforms\nMaintain, enhance, and scale the simulation infrastructure to improve reliability, usability, and development efficiency\nYou will also support hardware and software teams with infrastructure and tools for simulation control, debug, data collection and reporting.\nWhat you will bring:\nMaster’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)\nExperience in ASIC/SoC development (5+ years)\nSolid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts\nStrong C/C++ programming skills, including STL and modern C++ practices, with experience in build systems (CMake/make) and toolchains (GCC)\nComprehensive understanding of computer architecture concepts and principles\nExcellent software debug skills, with experience debugging with GNU tools\nFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PERL)\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional, globally distributed teams\nFamiliarity with Agile ways of working and methodologies, with the ability to take on Agile team roles and contribute to continuous integration practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Jira\nStrong verbal and written technical communication skills\nJoin our Team\nAdditional highly desired experience:\nExperience with embedded software design and test\nExposure to debugging RTL in block and/or chip-level environments\nHands-on experience with TLM modeling using SystemC\nExposure to HW emulation/acceleration methods and tools\nPre-silicon and/or post-silicon debug experience\nExposure to artificial intelligence and the use of agentic workflows integrated into daily engineering work\nExperience leading and mentoring other engineers\nABOUT ERICSSON\nA long-time telecommunications industry leader, Ericsson is embarking on new endeavors that have led to the opening of a development center in the heart of downtown Austin.
