Your work will directly contribute to cleaner water, safer soil, and sustainable development, while building the expertise to advance your professional credentials.\nWhat Your Impact Is\nSupport critical remediation and investigation projects that safeguard communities and ecosystems.\n\nCharacterize subsurface geology and groundwater conditions to define contaminant fate and transport and shape remedial strategy.\n\nDeliver compliance solutions that help clients meet regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.\n\nContribute to ERM’s reputation for excellence by ensuring quality, safety, and innovation in every project.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).\n\n2+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related field.\n\nWorking knowledge of field geology and hydrogeology fundamentals: soil and rock description, stratigraphy, groundwater flow, and aquifer behavior.\n\nStrong commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.\n\nEffective communication, analytical, and organizational skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to travel and adapt to changing priorities.\n\nDriver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.\n\nWillingness to conduct fieldwork in remote locations and varying weather conditions.\n\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.\n\nPreferred\nExperience performing Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM standards).\n\nGroundwater gauging and samplingexpertise.\n\nExperience logging soil and rock cores and preparing boring logs and monitoring well construction diagrams (USCS soil classification).\n\n40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct field investigations: soil, water, air, and dust sampling; remedial pilot tests; construction support; and system O&M.\n\nLog soil and rock cores; prepare boring logs, geologic cross sections, and well construction diagrams.\n\nOversee drilling and monitoring well installation, development, and abandonment, including well permitting and subcontractor oversight.\n\nCoordinate field activities and subcontractors: drilling, geophysics, surveying, lab services, equipment calibration and maintenance.\n\nCompile and analyze environmental data; assist in technical report preparation.\n\nSupport development of compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, stormwater, and wastewater.\n\nExecute Phase I & II site assessments for property transactions.\n\nEnsure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.\n\nCommunicate effectively with subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and clients during field activities.\n\nDeliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations.\n\nFor the Consultant, Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist position, the anticipated annual base pay is $74,200-$103,200 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
