Your work will support critical infrastructure, energy, and development projects by providing the environmental data and analysis needed to inform sound decisions while promoting environmental stewardship.\nWhat Your Impact Is\nAs part of ERM's Impact Assessment team, you'll provide analytical and field support for a wide range of environmental projects, including wetland delineations, habitat assessments, environmental constraints analyses, and permitting efforts. Working closely with experienced professionals, you'll help deliver technically sound, fit-for-purpose solutions while developing a strong foundation in environmental consulting and field sciences.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired\nBA/BS or Master's degree in a natural science discipline, or the equivalency of 8+ years related experience in lieu of education, or equivalent experience\n0+ years of professional experience\nCoursework or training in wetland delineation using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements\nFamiliarity with Army Corps of Engineers Regional Supplements (Arid West and/or Great Plains)\nAbility and willingness to conduct fieldwork up to 75% of the time, outdoors and in variable conditions\nWorking knowledge of GPS technologies and map interpretation (e.g., NWI, USGS, aerial imagery)\nStrong commitment to health, safety, and fieldwork best practices\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail\nAbility to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing needs, and work independently with minimal supervision\nDriver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. \nPreferred\nPrevious internship, field course, or hands-on experience with wetland delineation or habitat assessments\nExperience collecting, reviewing, or managing environmental field data\nLocal or regional familiarity with the Houston area and surrounding environments\nLocal candidates preferred\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct wetland delineations in accordance with the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements\nDocument ordinary high-water marks (OHWM) and geophysical characteristics of waterbodies\nPerform habitat and environmental assessments\nComplete data collection, GPS data management, and quality review\nSupport desktop environmental constraints analysis and permitting processes\nAssist with survey report preparation and permit applications\nParticipate in fieldwork safely and in alignment with ERM and client safety standards\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary team members and subject matter experts\nCommunicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders on environmental science matters\nDeliver work in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and ERM quality standards\nSupport the growth and delivery of ERM's environmental and impact assessment services\nWho We Are: \nAs the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.\nAt ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career.
