We are seeking a Consulting Associate, Industrial Hygiene to join our Indianapolis, Indiana office and support our Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) service. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse range of occupational health, industrial hygiene, and environmental health and safety (EHS) projects across industrial, commercial, and manufacturing sectors. Your work will directly contribute to safer working environments while supporting clients across a variety of industries in meeting their environmental, health, and safety objectives.\nThis role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced industrial hygienists and EHS professionals, build your technical capabilities, and develop trusted client relationships as you grow your consulting career.\nWhat Your Impact Is:\nIn this role, you will:\nDeliver high-quality industrial hygiene assessments and technical reports.\nBuild trusted relationships with clients and project teams.\nConsistently apply health and safety best practices.\nDevelop increasing responsibility for project execution and client management.\nProgress toward advanced technical expertise and professional certifications such as CIH.\nSupport workplace health and safety initiatives that positively impact employees and organizations.\nContribute to solving complex occupational health and exposure assessment challenges across a variety of industries.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.\nRecent graduate to 1 year of industrial hygiene, occupational health, or EHS consulting experience.\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations, NIOSH sampling methodologies, industrial hygiene principles, and exposure assessment techniques.\nExperience conducting field sampling and monitoring.\nStrong technical writing and communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nDriver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. \nPreferred Qualifications\nCIH designation in progress or intent to pursue certification.\nExperience in consulting environments.\nOSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.\nOSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.\nExperience with noise dosimetry, air sampling, and indoor air quality investigations.\nExperience supporting manufacturing, industrial, energy, or chemical sector clients.\nKey Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail and commitment to technical quality.\nEffective written and verbal communication.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.\nCommitment to safety and client service excellence.\nTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct industrial hygiene assessments and exposure monitoring.\nPerform workplace health and safety inspections and audits.\nAssist with development and implementation of industrial hygiene sampling plans.\nOperate and maintain industrial hygiene monitoring equipment.\nAnalyze field data and prepare technical reports, recommendations, and client deliverables.\nSupport OSHA compliance assessments and health and safety program evaluations.\nAssist in conducting hazard assessments and exposure risk evaluations.\nCoordinate field activities with clients, contractors, laboratories, and internal project teams.\nSupport proposal preparation, budgeting, and project planning activities.\nTravel to client locations for field work as required.\nWho We Are: \nAs the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.\nAt ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career.
