You will have exposure to a variety of environmental disciplines and sectors, including oil and gas, power generation, electrical transmission, renewable/alternative energy, and Brownfields projects.\nWhat Your Impact Is:\nYou will assist Project Managers on a variety of projects, potentially in the areas of environmental impact assessment, EHS permitting and compliance, and site investigation and remediation. You will contribute through biological field surveys, data analysis, technical report preparation, permitting support, environmental sampling, and other project delivery activities.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nRequired\nBS in environmental science, natural science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3.0 GPA.\nLess than 1 year of relevant environmental experience or professional internship experience.\nStrong commitment to safety.\nEffective written and verbal communication and strong organizational and analytical skills, including experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.\nAbility to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant, including being a team player, eagerness to learn and grow, taking initiative, versatility, and a service-oriented mentality.\nAbility to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, manage time effectively, handle multiple project assignments, meet strict deadlines, and travel to diverse project locations.\nDriver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.\nPreferred\nMS in environmental science, natural science, or related discipline.\nLocal candidates preferred.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide technical assistance on NEPA environmental assessment (EA) and environmental impact statement (EIS) projects and related activities in support of ERM clients’ domestic and international development projects, including oil and gas, power generation, electrical transmission, renewable/alternative energy, and Brownfields projects.\nPerform project delivery activities such as report writing, undertaking and organizing data collection and ecological field surveys, performing data and literature reviews, and developing recommendations for clients.\nPrepare multi-media plans and permits, with an emphasis on FERC, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and State Historical Commissions, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.\nConduct tasks related to land use planning, facility siting, risk assessment, and water resources management.\nProvide technical support to Project Managers related to natural resource inventory and impact assessment, ecological and human health risk assessment, and multi-media environmental sampling.\nWork within quality, budget, schedule expectations, and scope-specific assignments.\nCommunicate with project team members, clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.\nFor the Consulting Associate, Scientist position, the anticipated annual base pay is $66,000-$81,400 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
