You’ll Do\nAs an Ecologist/Senior Ecologist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting biodiversity impact assessments and approvals under NSW State and Commonwealth jurisdictions.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSupporting and delivering field surveys and desktop ecological assessments.\nAssisting in the preparation of biodiversity assessments, offset strategies and management plans that meet federal and state requirements.\nSupporting multiple projects, ensuring quality deliverables, and meeting deadlines.\nEngaging with stakeholders, including subcontractors, regulatory agents, landowners, Indigenous communities, and clients.\nBuilding strong collaborations across ERM’s global network of sustainability experts.\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Ecology or related field.\n1-2 years (Ecologist) or 2-5 years (Senior Ecologist) of environmental consulting experience.\nExpertise in environmental assessments and biodiversity regulations (experience with NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 is highly regarded).\nSkills in flora and plant community type identification are advantageous.\nGIS proficiency (advanced skills are a plus).\nExperience with biodiversity offsets and Federal/State survey methodologies.\nStrong commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety protocols.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and time-management
