This leadership role combines project delivery excellence, team management, commercial development, and strategic client engagement across Safe & Sustainable Operations (SSO) and Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CSCC) service areas.\nThe successful candidate will serve as one of the team leaders, overseeing project execution, resource planning, people development, and business growth. Working closely with ERM Partners and regional technical leaders, you will support the development and delivery of ERM's advisory offerings, build trusted client relationships, and deliver high-impact projects that help organizations manage sustainability risks, create value, and achieve long-term resilience.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Team Leadership & People Management\nServe as one of the Vietnam EHS & ESG Advisory team leaders across SSO and CSCC service areas.\nManage team utilization, staffing, workload allocation, and resource planning to ensure efficient project delivery and employee development.\nMentor, coach, and develop consultants and senior consultants, supporting career growth and technical capability building.\nFoster a collaborative, high-performance, and inclusive team culture aligned with ERM's values.\nCollaborate with regional technical leaders to strengthen local capabilities and knowledge sharing.\nFor Principal Consultant: Lead a larger multidisciplinary team and contribute to regional organizational development initiatives.\n2. Project Leadership & Delivery\nLead and oversee the delivery of complex sustainability consulting projects across Vietnam.\nManage project budgets, schedules, risks, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.\nProvide technical and strategic leadership on projects including:EHS compliance auditing\nSupply chain sustainability and responsible sourcing\nSafe & Sustainable operations and operational (energy, water, waste) performance improvement\nESG and sustainability strategy development\nClimate risk assessment and decarbonization planning\nESG reporting and disclosure (primarily IFRS S1/S2)\nDouble Materiality Assessments\nESG performance improvement programs\nESG value creation and portfolio sustainability programs\n\nReview and provide technical oversight of project deliverables to ensure compliance with ERM quality standards.\nFor Principal Consultant: Lead large-scale, cross-border projects and act as quality reviewer for complex engagements.\n3. Business Development & Commercial Leadership\nSupport growth of ERM's EHS & ESG Advisory business in Vietnam through proactive business development activities.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as a trusted advisor.\nIdentify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across priority sectors and accounts.\nLead or support proposal development, scope definition, pricing, resource planning, and contract negotiations.\nDevelop account growth strategies and cross-sell ERM's broader sustainability and environmental services.\nContribute to annual sales targets and strategic growth initiatives.\nFor Principal Consultant: Lead major pursuits, strategic account development, and key client relationships.\n4. Client Relationship Management\nServe as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.\nBuild long-term partnerships through high-quality project delivery and strategic advisory support.\nUnderstand client business objectives and identify opportunities to provide integrated sustainability solutions.\nPresent project findings and recommendations to senior executives, investors, and board-level stakeholders.\nSupport client satisfaction initiatives and continuously improve service delivery.\n5. Technical Leadership & Thought Leadership\nMaintain strong expertise across sustainability, ESG, climate change, sustainable operations, and transaction advisory topics.\nStay current with emerging sustainability regulations, reporting frameworks, and market trends.\nShare knowledge and best practices across ERM's regional and global networks.\nContribute to thought leadership publications, webinars, conference presentations, and market-facing initiatives.\nCollaborate with global practitioners to develop innovative solutions and service offerings.\nQualifications\nManaging Consultant\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.\nTypically 8-12 years of relevant consulting or industry experience.\nDemonstrated experience managing sustainability, ESG, climate, operational improvement, or safe & sustainable operations projects.\nPrior team leadership, mentoring, and project management experience.\nStrong client management and proposal development skills.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities in English and Vietnamese.\nStrong commercial awareness and business development mindset.\nPrincipal Consultant\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.\nTypically 12+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.\nProven track record leading large, complex, and multidisciplinary projects.\nDemonstrated success in business development, key account management, and revenue generation.\nSignificant experience leading teams and developing consulting talent.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities in English and Vietnamese.\nStrong commercial awareness and business development mindset.\nEstablished network within corporate, investor, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, industrial, or financial sectors is highly desirable.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:\nESG/EHS due diligence and transaction advisory\nIFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguards\nESG and sustainability strategy\nClimate change and decarbonization\nSustainable finance and responsible investment\nOperational sustainability and EHS management systems\nESG reporting and disclosure frameworks\nPrivate equity and portfolio company sustainability programs\nDouble Materiality Assessments\nManufacturing, technology, infrastructure, energy, real estate, or industrial sectors\nWhat You Impact\nAt this level, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-impact projects that help clients achieve sustainable outcomes.
