This position requires a highly qualified EHS professional with broad expertise across multiple EHS disciplines who can support manufacturing operations, maintain regulatory compliance, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) limited-term role for a duration of 6 months, extendable.\nThe successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership and operational teams, providing hands-on support, coaching, training, compliance oversight, and strategic EHS guidance. This role requires regular physical presence at the client site and active engagement with employees, contractors, and management.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nRegulatory Compliance & EHS Program Management\nEnsure compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, and company requirements.\nManage EHS policies, procedures, permits, licenses, and required documentation.\nMaintain regulatory records and support compliance reporting activities.\nMonitor regulatory changes and ensure site compliance with applicable requirements.\nSupport implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems.\nManufacturing Support & Risk Management\nProvide daily EHS support to production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.\nConduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, safety inspections, and hazard mitigation activities.\nEvaluate workplace conditions and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve performance.\nDevelop, implement, and improve EHS programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, Fall Protection. Industrial Hygiene, Contractor Safety, Management of Change (MOC)\nPartner with operational teams to proactively identify and address EHS risks.\nIncident Investigation & Corrective Action Management\nInvestigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events.\nConduct root cause analyses and determine corrective and preventive actions.\nTrack corrective actions to closure and verify effectiveness.\nCommunicate lessons learned and improvement opportunities to site personnel.\nTraining, Engagement & Contractor Safety\nDeliver EHS training to employees, \nsupervisors, and contractors.\nFacilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.\nProvide field coaching and mentoring to strengthen EHS performance.\nManage contractor safety programs and permit-to-work processes.\nPromote a positive and proactive safety culture across the facility.\nAuditing, Reporting & Leadership Support\nConduct inspections and audits of plant operations, facilities, and management systems.\nMonitor EHS metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives.Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and compliance updates for management.\nProvide recommendations and strategic EHS guidance to site leadership.\nServe as a trusted EHS advisor to management and operational teams.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEHS Expertise\nProfessional-level expertise across multiple environmental, health, and safety disciplines.\nAbility to provide technical guidance, regulatory interpretation, and practical solutions to operational teams.\nStrong knowledge of risk management, compliance programs, and EHS management systems.\nOn-Site Presence\nRegular physical presence at the client facility is required.\nAbility to conduct field observations, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and employee engagement activities.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nBS in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related science degree preferred.\nA minimum of 5 years relevant EHS experience with exposure to the manufacturing or research and development industries preferred.\nCSP preferred\nExperience conducting health and safety risk assessments and industrial hygiene monitoring.\nWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including CAL OSHA.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.\nAbility to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.\nStrong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive.\nAbility to distill goals into plans, develop timelines, and work independently as well as part of a team, to achieve goals.\nProven experience as a Senior EHS Specialist.\nIn-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and leadership abilities\nPay Transparency:\nFor the EHS Managerposition, we anticipate the annual base pay of $90,000 - $126,493, $43.26/hr - $60.81/hrUSD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above.
