This is a part-time (28-34 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 6 months, renewable.\nResponsibilities\nPerform audits and inspections of environmental programs, including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and hazardous materials, to ensure compliance with client standards and federal, state, and local requirements.\nConduct assessments of chemicals, processes, and equipment for environmental regulatory applicability.\nReview federal and local regulatory wastewater discharge requirements.\nPrepare wastewater permit applications, regulatory reports, and supporting documentation, as directed.\nPrepare and submit required environmental metrics and reports.\nSupport preparation and review of the Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) inventory.\nSupport development and review of above-ground petroleum storage documentation, e.g., Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.\nDraft environmental management plans, such as the Solvent Management Plan (SMP), along with operating procedures and training materials.\nCompile, manage, and retain environmental documents in accordance with client EHS requirements.\nMaintain and monitor EHS software applications used to manage tasks, events, permits, reporting metrics, and waste management activities.\nSupport environmental permitting and regulatory program implementation for new processes and buildings, from construction through operations.\nPerform technical review, on behalf of the owner, of contractor submittals and work plans for environmental aspects during construction.\nPartner with lab researchers, facilities, security, and Global EHS to implement client environmental directives and standards.\nParticipate in project meetings as needed.\nRequirements\nMinimum of 2 years of Washington State regulatory compliance experience.\nExperience with stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), chemical storage, hazardous waste, air, and water programs.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.\nPermit maintenance experience.\nFor the Environmental Compliance Consultant position, the anticipated annual base pay is $35.81-$46.39 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
