You will work within EHS Audit in the Consulting Delivery Hub, partnering with regional leadership, audit team leads, client management teams, junior auditors, technical communities and global delivery teams to deliver high-impact audit work, defensible conclusions and scalable audit capability. This role is critical to technical quality, audit governance, risk-based decision-making, client trust and development of junior team capability.\nWhat your impact is?\nDrive delivery of challenging and impactful audit engagements that help clients shape a sustainable future.\n\nPlan and lead discrete audits or significant workstreams, defining scope, audit criteria and risk-based sampling approach.\n\nDirect fieldwork and testing activities, ensuring evidence is sufficient, relevant, reliable and aligned with ERM standards.\n\nEvaluate findings, determine significance and develop factual, defensible audit conclusions and opinion inputs.\n\nPresent findings, influence remediation and act as a trusted client partner on complex EHS and audit matters.\n\nGuide, mentor and train junior team members, contributing to knowledge management and audit capability development.\n\nWhat will you bring?\nRelevant experience in audit, EHS regulatory compliance, management systems, sustainability, consulting or industry roles.\n\nAdvanced risk assessment, control evaluation, audit methodology and evidence-evaluation capability.\n\nStrong report writing, presentation, executive communication and stakeholder-influence skills.\n\nSubject-matter expertise in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and similar frameworks or closely related audit standards.\n\nExperience leading audits, workstreams or project teams and coaching / mentor others to raise technical capability.\n\nDemonstrated experience assessing EHS management systems in complex or high-hazard sectors.\n\nDegree or master’s degree or PHD in environmental science, engineering, EHS, sustainability or a related discipline.\n\n10+ years of progressive experience leading environmental, EHS and regulatory compliance consulting projects, including management of multidisciplinary teams.\n\nPreferred qualifications, skills & competencies\nExperience leading certification or recertification audits, management-system assessments or sustainability framework reviews.\n\nExposure to high-hazard sectors such as mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, pulp and paper or power generation.\n\nDesirable credentials include EMS, QMS, OSHAS or similar senior professional registration.\n\nKey responsibilities\nPlan and lead discrete audits or significant workstreams, including scope, criteria and risk-based sampling approach.\n\nGuide fieldwork, evidence gathering and testing activities performed by junior team members.\n\nEvaluate evidence, identify deficiencies and determine finding significance.\n\nDraft audit conclusions and opinion inputs that are factual, defensible and clearly evidenced.\n\nLead or support opening, issues and closing meetings, including communication of findings to management.\n\nMentor auditors, develop training content and contribute to audit knowledge management.\n\nSupport proposals, deliverable presentations, account management and identification of follow-on opportunities.\n\nEnsure workstream documentation and record-keeping meet ERM audit standards.\n\nProvide visible health and safety leadership and uphold ethics, professional skepticism and governance requirements.\n\nLeverage technical expertise to realise ERM consulting capability.\n\nLead project teams, providing line management, coaching, mentoring and skills development.\n\nIdentify, develop and promote talent while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.\n\nActively contribute to knowledge management.\n\nBuild and maintain long-term client relationships that drive repeat engagements and strategic partnerships; collaborate across ERM's global network to share knowledge and innovate solutions.\n\nDeliver training sessions, coaching and impactful presentations for client teams and leadership groups.\n\nProvide visible safety leadership across the workstream;
