This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on leadership, collaboration, and delivering exceptional results.\nWhat Your Impact Is\nLead archaeological field programs under Heritage Inspection, Heritage Investigation, and Site Alteration Permits.\n\nOversee research, artifact analysis, and reporting for cultural heritage assessments.\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to clients and regulatory agencies, representing ERM with professionalism and expertise.\n\nDrive business development initiatives to expand ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage services across Western Canada.\n\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired:\nMaster’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field.\n\n4+ years of professional experience in archaeology and cultural heritage.\n\nCurrent permit holder in British Columbia. Field Directors will also be considered.\n\nProven ability to lead field programs and complete research projects.\n\nStrong communication, writing, and computer skills.\n\nTravel will be required.\n\nDriver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.\n\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.\n\nPreferred:\nPermit holding in other provinces/territories.\n\nDemonstrated business development experience.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage archaeological field programs under applicable permits.\n\nConduct literature reviews, artifact analysis, and cataloguing.\n\nPrepare high-quality reports and deliverables for clients.\n\nCommunicate effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams.\n\nRepresent ERM at meetings with provincial, territorial, and federal agencies.\n\nSupport growth of ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage practice through technical excellence and client engagement.\n\nFor theManaging Technical Consultant,Archaeologist position, theanticipatedannual base pay is $90,700-$110,000(CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
