This role will require onsite support 5 days per week on average. This is a part-time (Approximately 24 - 40 hours/week), limited-term position with an estimated duration of 6 months, with the possibility of renewal.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperation, maintenance and monitoring of soil (air sparge/soil vapor extraction) and groundwater (air stripping) remediation systems\nPerform dailySite visits to collect system operational parameters (e.g., flow rates, pressure, vacuum, effluent readings, outfall observations, etc.)\nAdjust well flow and pressures as necessary for effective operation of the system\nParticipate in bi-weekly team conference calls held with the Project Engineer and team to guide operations, decision-making and maintain efficient and effective operations\nCollect monthly groundwater and air discharge samples for permit monitoring for analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and any other permit-required analytes\nRespond when alarm conditions arise and work with the Project Engineer to troubleshoot and restart the system\nMaintenance of system components including pumps, compressors, air stripper cleaning, etc.\nCoordinate with and oversee contractors for certain maintenance activities\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum of 1 year of mechanical systems or plumbing experience preferred\nSpecific experience with remediation systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided\nAvailable for emergency response within 24 hours\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders\nAbility to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision\nAbility to provide excellent project delivery and client service, quality on project deliverables, and organizational skills\nFor the Remediation Field Technician position, the anticipated annual base pay is$68,000-$86,464 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
