Full-Stack Application Development :\n\n- Build and maintain backend API services using Python (FastAPI) and modern engineering patterns.\n\n- Develop responsive front-end interfaces using React / Next.js, ensuring usability, consistency, and performance.\n\n- Implement end-to-end application logic, connecting UI components with backend services and underlying data layers.\n\n- Ensure API contracts, service logic, and integration patterns are maintainable, well-documented, and aligned with solution architecture.\n\n2. Systems Integration & API Connectivity :\n\n- Build integrations between internal/external systems using REST, GraphQL, and event-driven patterns.\n\n- Work with architects and platform teams to implement secure API authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, etc.).\n\n- Ensure seamless interoperability across the broader application landscape by following standard integration patterns.\n\n3. Deployment, Quality, Reliability & Maintainability :\n\n- Apply solid engineering practices including automated testing (unit, integration), code reviews, and peer collaboration.\n\n- Leads and manages the end-to-end deployment lifecycle through CI/CD pipelines, working closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless, reliable releases.\n\n- Contribute to observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and troubleshooting across environments.\n\n- Follow secure coding practices aligned with ERM standards and industry best practices.\n\n4. Data, Storage & Application State :\n\n- Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and design efficient data access patterns.\n\n- Support implementation of caching, session management, and state-handling aligned with product needs.\n\n- Collaborate with data/AI engineers where relevant for backend integration scenarios.\n\n5. Collaboration & Delivery :\n\n- Work closely with architects, designers, and AI/back-end engineers within pod-based delivery teams.\n\n- Contribute to solution delivery in line with agreed engineering standards - including maintainability, security, and operational readiness.\n\n- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and continuous improvement of delivery practices.\n\n- Support the transition of application capabilities from third-party vendors to internal teams where relevant.\n\n6. Influence And Decision-Making Authority :\n\n- Shape implementation approaches for full-stack workflows, API integration patterns, and design of user-facing components.\n\n- Recommend improvements to application performance, maintainability, and usability based on testing and user feedback.\n\n- Contribute technical inputs into reusable engineering components, coding standards, and delivery practices across teams.\n\nJob Requirements & Capabilities :\n\n1. Education & Experience :\n\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n- Typically 5+ years of full-stack development experience in production environments.\n\n- Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end applications - including UI, API services, and integrations.\n\n- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams (architects, product owners, DevOps/platform engineers, etc.).\n\n2. Technical Skills :\n\n- Strong Python development skills and hands-on experience with FastAPI for backend service development.\n\n- Experience building modern front-end applications using React or Next.js.\n\n- Strong understanding of API design, service-to-service communication, error handling, and integration patterns.\n\n- Experience with relational databases (SQL), ORM frameworks, and data modeling.\n\n- Understanding of secure development practices (input validation, access control, secrets handling, etc.).\n\n- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).\n\n- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins for pipeline design and automation.\n\n- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and configuration management.\n\n3.
