In this critical safety role, you will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, ensuring the project timeline is met, and providing leadership to contractors and vendors associated with the safe delivery of company projects. The Site Safety Manager will possess a broad knowledge of construction safety. This is a full-time (50 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 18 months, renewable.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure the seamless execution of this project and maximize impact on the sustainable energy landscape.\nServe as the liaison between the developer and project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project progress.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.\nAddress stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and provide regular updates on project status.\nMonitor project performance, budget adherence, and timelines.\nFacilitate transparent communication between the developer and key stakeholders.\nChampion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in safety-related activities.\nProvide daily observations of on-site safety practices.\nProvide timely, high-quality Safety technical support.\nCarry out regular workplace safety inspections to monitor compliance with site safety rules, policies, procedures, etc.\nCoordinate the completion of job safety analyses, risk assessments, and pre-task plans.\nPrepare and submit local, State, and internal reports as needed.\nReview and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, non-injury accidents, and ear-misses to ensure that they are effective, and that they identify and resolve root causes to minimize re-occurrence. Lead investigations into serious adverse events.\nMonitor and analyze Safety performance and initiate action to support or correct trends.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.\n3+ years’ experience in construction safety on power, utility, and civil projects; experience in solar or renewable construction projects.\nFamiliarity with solar energy and battery energy storage technologies, industry trends, and sustainability objectives.\nCHST, ASP, or CSP certification is preferred.\nCurrent OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety class or equivalent.\nComprehensive understanding of the design & construction process.\nStrong leadership and communication skills; can independently project manage with little to no oversight.\nStrong interpersonal skills for building lasting relationships and influencing safe outcomes with project stakeholders.\nExceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.\nAbility to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.\nCan handle client relationships in all forms of communication (written, verbal, presenting, etc.) and knows when to escalate to leadership.\nBasic MS (Word, Excel, Project, etc.) computing skills, email, etc.\nAbility to lift 25lbs.\nRegularly works around moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery and equipment, and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
