This role ensures that infrastructure standards, procedures, network designs, operational runbooks, disaster recovery documentation, cybersecurity requirements, and project records are accurate, standardized, and accessible.\nThe Technical Documentation Specialist partners with Network Operations, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Engineering, Service Management, and Manufacturing Technology teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable documentation.\nThis role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MI, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY. Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities:\nDocumentation Governance\nDevelop and maintain documentation standards across IT and OT.\nCreate templates for policies, standards, procedures, work instructions, and architecture documents.\nEnsure document version control and approval workflows are followed.\nConduct periodic reviews of documentation for accuracy and compliance.\nInfrastructure Documentation\nDocument network architectures, topology diagrams, IP allocation standards, and connectivity models.\nMaintain infrastructure inventory documentation.\nCreate deployment guides and implementation playbooks.\nDocument cloud, server, firewall, wireless, and OT connectivity solutions.\nOperational Documentation \nCreate standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nDevelop incident response runbooks.\nDocument change management procedures.\nProduce disaster recovery and business continuity documentation.\nCybersecurity & Compliance\nSupport documentation of cybersecurity controls and requirements.\nMaintain documentation aligned to NIST, Purdue, ISA/IEC 62443, and company standards.\nAssist with audit evidence collection and compliance reporting.\nProject Documentation\nDevelop project technical specifications.\nProduce installation guides and cutover plans.\nCreate training materials and knowledge transfer documents.\nSupport lessons learned and post-implementation reviews.\nKnowledge Management\nManage SharePoint documentation repositories.\nEstablish document taxonomies and searchability standards.\nImprove accessibility and usability of technical information.\nDevelop onboarding documentation for infrastructure personnel.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.\n3+ years of technical writing experience.\nStrong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Visio, and Office applications.\nPreferredQualifications:\nExperience documenting networking environments.\nExperience with OT/manufacturing environments.\nUnderstanding of network architecture, cybersecurity, and systems administration.\nFamiliarity with Fortinet products.\nKnowledge of NIST and Purdue frameworks.\nLet’s Build the Future Together\nAt ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
