An engineering background will be essential to success, and the leader will need to work with multiple functional areas including non-technical teams. This person will lead project teams for projects of all sizes and complexities, making sure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality throughout its successful execution.\nThis role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, MI, MA, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY. Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided.\nResponsibilities\nRole Overview\nCommunicate project objectives which address the overall strategic business goals of the organization, sponsor, and portfolio.\nProvide guidance and motivation to project teams and successfully align the team to the customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and key stakeholders.\nCoordinate business requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder approval.\nConvert requirements into tasks and determine task priorities for individual team members and the project.\nReview project schedules with functional project managers to identify and coordinate resources necessary to meet project requirements, as defined by the project scope.\nEnsure project scope and costs are agreed upon by the stakeholders.\nBalance the cost, schedule, and time frames against the project requirements.\nProactively drive tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule to ensure work is on-track and on-budget to meet or exceed expectations.\nPerform cost analysis for projects to include travel, training, resources allocation and other relevant costs.\nIdentify effective solutions to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.\nDefine and manage resource capacity and time tracking.\nRecognize potential problem areas to identify and implement alternative solutions.\nServe as escalation point to define and mitigate overall project risk through conflict and issue resolution with the project team and stakeholders.\nManage the project change control processes to ensure alignment of scope, schedules, budgets, and resources based on approved changes. \nProvide regular updates to key stakeholders on project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of issues, risks, and corrective actions taken as necessary.\nDrive relevant, concise, and effective project communication through a variety of mediums to diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery.\nReport project metrics to key stakeholders.\nResponsible for quantifying the project's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and managing the work within scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints.\nCoordinate project related RFI / RFPs with third parties and internal IT procurement team to meet current and planned business needs.\nMaintain a good working relationship and engage in frequent communication with service provider(s).\nReview and approve payment requests and change orders. \nRecommend, prepare, and conduct training related to implementation of key initiatives.\nSupport improving the Project Management community by assisting in coaching and development of skills and capabilities.\nParticipate in the exchange of ideas and information within the PMO, and with others to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization.\nDemonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer concerns a priority.\nComply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.\nMay perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications\nThe Ideal Candidate\nBS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n5 - 8 years of progressively responsible experience actively leading projects of medium size and/or scope with complex matrixed teams.\nExperience leading Business Process Excellence (BPE) or Business Process Management (BPM) initiatives.\nProven ability to map, optimize, and standardize business processes.\nStrong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to process improvement.\nAbility to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.\nKnowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methods.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time\nPMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or equivalent is highly preferred.\nAcquired knowledge and experience in a manufacturing, shop floor environment, with product design and manufacturing execution systems.\nExperience working with project management software, such as Microsoft office suite including Teams and Project. \nMaster the ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority to complete work in a timely manner.\nAdvanced soft skills including the desire to work with diverse and geographically dispersed teams.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills \nMust be self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical challenges.\nBe collaborative in driving decisions and able to deal with all levels of management and stakeholders.\nHighly adaptable to constantly changing technology and environments.\nHighly organized with an acute attention to detail.\nLet’s Build the Future Together\nAt ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
