This is a full-time role based in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the delivery of end-to-end data engineering engagements, including data architecture, data integration, platform modernization, and cloud migration initiatives.\nDesign, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nLead cloud-based data transformation programs leveraging Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud technologies.\nEstablish and enforce best practices in data governance, data quality, metadata management, security, and compliance.\nDesign and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting, transforming, and processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.\nSupport the development of AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions by providing reliable and scalable data foundations.\nLead technical teams of data engineers across multiple client engagements and provide coaching and mentorship.\nConduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and performance optimization initiatives.\nSupport business development activities, solutioning workshops, proposal responses, and client pursuits.\nSkills and Attributes for Success:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and sustainable data solutions.\nStrong understanding of modern data architectures, cloud ecosystems, and enterprise integration patterns.\nAbility to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly recommendations.\nExperience managing stakeholders and leading multidisciplinary delivery teams.\nStrong communication, presentation, and consulting skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPassion for emerging technologies and continuous learning.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.\nMinimum 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platform Development, or related disciplines.\nProven experience delivering enterprise-scale data transformation or modernization initiatives.\nExperience leading technical teams and managing client-facing projects.\nStrong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data architecture principles.\nHands-on experience developing and managing large-scale data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.\nExperience working with modern data engineering technologies and frameworks.\nIdeally, you'll also have:\nExperience supporting AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions through data platform enablement.\nKnowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Products, or Lakehouse architectures.\nProfessional certifications such as:\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate\nMicrosoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate\nDatabricks Certified Data Engineer Professional\nAWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty\nGoogle Professional Data Engineer\nPrior consulting or professional services experience.\nWhat we look for\nExperience engaging with both technical and business stakeholders across all levels of an organization.\nStrong consulting experience and the ability to advise clients on enterprise data transformation strategies.\nDemonstrated leadership in delivering Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platform, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Modernization initiatives.\nExperience managing teams of Data Engineers, Solution Architects, and Analytics professionals.\nPassion for building scalable data foundations that enable analytics, AI, and business transformation.\nWhat we offer\nEY offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with your work experience where you'll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
