Our Applied AI Engineering teams deliver production-grade AI systems in regulated financial institutions as well as government, health, infrastructure, consumer, industrial and energy organizations. This cross-sector model gives you broad exposure to different regulatory environments, data landscapes and operating models, while building deep engineering capability that transfers across industries.\nRole purpose\n Operate as a hands-on engineer within a squad, taking ownership of defined components and delivering AI capabilities (e.g., agents, RAG pipelines) that meet enterprise standards for reliability, security and observability. Strengthen your foundations through the Applied AI Engineering Academy while taking on more responsibility for solution shaping and stakeholder engagement.\nYour key responsibilities\n Client-facing engineering & delivery\nCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders; translate requirements into engineering tasks; support workshops, demos and solution reviews; drive adoption through testing and iteration.\nSolution design & implementation\nDesign and implement RAG pipelines, agents, microservices and integrations; apply monitoring, evaluation and Responsible AI guardrails.\nProduct mindset & continuous improvement\nShape MVP scope, backlog and release planning; capture reusable patterns and contribute to shared accelerators.\nWhat we’re looking for\nStrong Python/TypeScript; async patterns; API design; testing/CI; microservice fundamentals.\nHands-on LLMs, embeddings, vector databases; retrieval strategies and grounding.\nCloud engineering (Azure preferred), Docker/Kubernetes, serverless; secure networking/IAM.\nData engineering fundamentals (Spark/Databricks; ETL/ELT) and operational handover.\nConsulting behaviors: stakeholder engagement and clear, client-ready communication.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.\nFluent written and spoken English, French/German is a plus.\nIdeally, you’ll also\nDocument/graph stores; streaming (Event Hub/Kafka); cloud architecture exposure and governance credentials.\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
