This role manages all studio equipment-cameras, switchers, lighting systems, audio chains, chroma setups, encoders-and ensures reliability, broadcast-grade quality, and operational excellence.\nThe ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in both live and recorded production, has strong problem-solving capabilities, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that mirrors a professional newsroom setup.\nKey Responsibilities\nStudio Operations & Technical Management\nOperate, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment including:Video switchers (ATEM/Tricaster/Equivalent)\nPTZ or cinema cameras\nLighting grids & DMX controllers\nAudio mixers and microphones\nTeleprompters\nMonitors & signal routing systems\n\nManage chroma keying pipelines for large and small green screen zones.\nEnsure all studio zones (news desk, chroma, interview set) are pre-lit, tested, and production-ready.\nLive Streaming, Recording & Transmission\nSet up and manage:\nMulti-camera switching\nLive streaming to platforms (YouTube, Teams, Zoom, Vimeo, corporate broadcast platforms)\nEncoding and compression workflows\nRun full end-to-end live events including townhalls, leadership broadcasts, panels, and webcasts.\nImplement redundancy and fail-safe mechanisms during critical live sessions.\nAudio Engineering & Signal Quality\nManage audio capture, mixing, monitoring, and processing.\nMaintain pristine sound quality for voiceovers, interviews, and broadcasts.\nTroubleshoot audio delays, echo, interference, and signal loss.\n4. Maintenance & Quality Control\nMonitor, diagnose, and resolve technical issues quickly.\nEnsure optimal performance of:\nRouters, encoders, UPS systems\nNetwork and storage devices\nSDI/HDMI cabling & signal flow\nPerform regular preventive maintenance, calibration, and firmware updates.\nMaintain equipment logs and incident reports.\nWorkflow Optimization & Collaboration\nWork closely with:\nCinematographer\nEditor\nArt Director\nContent Team\nSet up efficient workflows for recording → ingest → editing → publishing.\nSupport shoots involving external speakers, VIPs, and leadership teams.\nTrain internal teams on equipment usage when required.\nSafety, Compliance & Documentation\nManage cable safety, rigging guidelines, equipment storage.\nEnsure compliance with corporate broadcast and IT protocols.\nDocument setups, routing maps, presets, equipment checklists, and SOPs.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nTechnical Skills\n4-7 years of experience in broadcast engineering or studio operations.\nStrong understanding of:\nVideo codecs, frame rates, formats\nSDI, NDI, HDMI signal flows\nAudio signal chains, gain staging\nLighting for video (3-point, soft key, chroma lighting)\nExperience with:\nATEM / TriCaster / Ross Video / vMix\nPTZ control systems\nDante audio (preferred)\nOBS or live production platforms\nKnowledge of virtual sets and chroma key systems.\nBehavioral Skills\nCalm under pressure-especially during live sessions.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nExcellent communication with creative and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to multitask across simultaneous production requests.\nEducation\nDegree/diploma in Broadcast Engineering, Mass Communication, Audio/Video Production, Electronics, or related fie\nNice-to-Have\nExperience in corporate communications or newsroom-style environments.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted production tools.\nUnderstanding of color grading or basic editing.\nKnowledge of studio acoustics and soundproofing.\nWhy This Role Matters\nThe Broadcast Engineer ensures that every leadership message, live event, employee communication, and brand story is delivered with clarity, stability, and broadcast-level precision.
