You will lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud platforms, supporting clients through complex cloud and digital transformation initiatives.\nAs a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you will work with international teams and major clients, combining hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder management, and operational ownership.\nYour key responsibilities\nLead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and DevOps solutions.\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related automation technologies.\nLead the implementation and operation of containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).\nImplement GitOps-based deployment and configuration management practices using Argo CD.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.\nDefine reusable platform components, deployment patterns, and self-service capabilities for development teams.\nEstablish monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability capabilities using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kibana, and related tools.\nEnsure platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and operational readiness.\nLead release planning and release management activities across different environments.\nCoordinate incident investigation and resolution, including root cause analysis and the implementation of preventive actions.\nAssess existing platforms and delivery processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define technical roadmaps.\nCollaborate with development teams, architects, security specialists, operations teams, and client stakeholders.\nProvide technical direction, mentor team members, and promote engineering and DevOps best practices.\nSupport project planning, risk management, status reporting, and communication with technical and business stakeholders.\nContribute to client proposals, technical estimations, solution presentations, and the development of EY cloud and DevOps capabilities.\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong technical leadership combined with hands-on Azure Cloud and DevOps experience.\nAbility to translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud and platform solutions.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to incident resolution.\nGood understanding of cloud governance, security, reliability, and operational excellence.\nAbility to lead distributed technical teams and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.\nA proactive automation mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.\nAbility to work effectively in collaborative and independent environments.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nMore than eight years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service.\nPractical experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.\nExperience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Kibana.\nExperience with release management, production operations, incident investigation, and incident resolution.\nProven experience leading technical initiatives, supporting engineering teams, and managing client or business stakeholders.\nGood command of English, both written and spoken.\nIdeally, you'll also have\nExperience implementing DevSecOps controls, security scanning, compliance validation, and cloud governance.\nExperience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or a similar language.\nKnowledge of microservices, container security, networking, APIs, identity management, and cloud authentication patterns.\nMicrosoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, or other relevant cloud and DevOps certifications.\nExperience working in international consulting or enterprise-scale cloud environments.\nWhat we look for\nWe are looking for an experienced and proactive technology leader who combines strong hands-on DevOps knowledge with the ability to guide teams and build trusted client relationships.
