You will be accountable for delivery governance, planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, commercial oversight and team coordination. While this is not a hands-on development role, you must have sufficient software engineering experience and technical fluency to understand solution designs, challenge assumptions, identify delivery risks and clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the end-to-end delivery of technology projects and programmes, from initiation and planning through implementation, transition and closure.\nDefine delivery plans, scope, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, dependencies, governance and success measures.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams comprising architects, frontend and backend engineers, DevOps specialists, quality engineers, designers, business analysts, product owners and third-party vendors.\n Apply Agile, hybrid or traditional delivery approaches as appropriate, facilitating planning, estimation, backlog management, sprint reviews, risk reviews and steering forums.\nMonitor delivery progress, financial performance, quality, risks, issues and dependencies, and drive timely escalation and resolution.\nReview and discuss technical solution designs, integration approaches, architecture decisions and delivery trade-offs with engineering teams and client stakeholders.\nTranslate technical concepts, constraints and risks into clear business impact and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.\nPromote effective software development and DevOps practices, including source control, testing, CI/CD, release management, environment readiness, monitoring, security and operational handover.\nBuild trusted client relationships, manage expectations and maintain clear communication across delivery teams, sponsors and governance bodies.\nCoach project team members, foster collaboration and support a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement.\nSupport business development activities, including opportunity shaping, proposal development, solutioning, effort and cost estimation, client presentations, demonstrations and mobilisation planning.\nTo qualify for the role, you will need:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum experience of 6 years leading complex software development or digital transformation projects, preferably within consulting, professional services or a client-facing environment.\nDemonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, vendors, risks, issues, dependencies, quality and project governance.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with solution architecture, application integration, APIs, databases, testing, security and production support.\nTechnical familiarity with frontend technologies such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js and AngularJS, and backend technologies such as .NET and Node.js.\nAbility to understand and articulate how frontend, backend, integration, data, infrastructure and cloud components work together within an end-to-end solution.\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, environment management, monitoring and release management.\nStrong communication, facilitation, negotiation and executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and credibly.\nCommercial awareness and experience supporting proposals, pursuits, estimations, statements of work and client presentations.\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities and remain accountable for delivery outcomes in a fast-paced environment.\nThis role is not expected to perform day-to-day coding or act as a hands-on developer. However, Delivery Lead must bring prior exposure to software development and sufficient familiarity with modern technology stacks to engage credibly with engineers and architects. The individual should be able to understand technical discussions, ask informed questions, explain concepts and delivery implications, and make sound decisions with input from technical specialists\nExposure to additional frontend or backend languages, frameworks and enterprise platforms.\nExperience with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.\nUnderstanding of microservices, serverless architectures, event-driven solutions, containers, orchestration platforms and modern integration patterns.\nRelevant project management, Agile, Scrum, cloud, architecture or DevOps certifications.\nExperience delivering programmes in regulated or complex enterprise environments.\nWhat working at EY offers\nEY offers a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
