You will own CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, release governance, and production readiness so teams can move from prototype to production safely and repeatably. Azure is the primary platform, with client on-prem/hybrid environments a key delivery context.\nYour key responsibilities\nYou will partner with developers, AI/data engineers, product owners, security teams, and client stakeholders to architect solutions and standardize reliable delivery.\nSkills and attributes for success\nOwn an Azure-first DevOps/developer platform: reusable templates, pipeline blueprints, environment patterns, and deployment standards\n\nEnable teams to ship quickly with CI/CD, IaC, observability, and security controls built into the “golden path” for new services\n\nPartner on solution/platform architecture (hosting choices, environment design, integration patterns, security, scalability, reliability, production readiness)\n\nBuild and optimize CI/CD for front-end, back-end, data, and AI/ML services (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions or equivalent)\n\nDefine and evolve IaC modules and standards (Bicep/Terraform/ARM)\n\nDeploy and run services on Azure (App Service, Functions, Static Web Apps, Container Apps, AKS) with sound release and environment management (approvals, gates, rollback)\n\nEmbed security by design and in pipelines (Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, Key Vault, private endpoints; scanning/policy checks; secure releases)\n\nEstablish operational readiness: monitoring/alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and incident response (Azure Monitor/App Insights/Log Analytics)\n\nHelp productionize AI/GenAI workloads (LLMOps/MLOps patterns, quality gates, monitoring)\n\nSupport cloud/hybrid/on-prem deployments (secure connectivity, network constraints, integration with client infrastructure)\n\nAutomate ops with scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python/Azure CLI) and drive reliability/performance/cost improvements (RCA, capacity, optimization)\n\nCollaborate across engineering, security, product, and clients; contribute runbooks, standards, and documentation that raise delivery quality\n\nTo qualify for the role you must have\n 7+ years in DevOps/platform or cloud engineering (infrastructure automation) \nStrong hands-on Azure experience in production/enterprise environments\n\nCI/CD pipeline delivery (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)\n\nDeveloper enablement via reusable platform patterns, templates, and deployment standards (internal developer platforms a plus)\n\nInfrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM, or equivalent)\n\nDeploy/operate web apps, APIs, containers, and serverless on Azure (App Service, Functions, Container Apps, AKS, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics, networking)\n\nDocker and container patterns; Kubernetes/AKS strongly preferred\n\nObservability/monitoring, alerting, incident response, and production troubleshooting\n\nEnterprise security and hybrid/on-prem constraints (identity/RBAC, secrets, private networking, controlled releases, VPN/private endpoints)\n\nComfortable in iterative delivery teams (PoCs, MVPs, and production)\n\nIdeally you’ll also have\nMicrosoft certifications (e.g., AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert)\n\nDeep AKS/Kubernetes operations (Helm, ingress, registries, container security)\n\nReusable infrastructure modules (Terraform and/or Bicep)\n\nAzure governance (Landing Zones, Policy, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel)\n\nRegulated/security-sensitive environments (privacy, auditability, access control, data residency)\n\nAI/GenAI platform experience (RAG, vector DBs, prompt/eval pipelines, monitoring)\n\nOn-prem/hybrid infrastructure (Windows/Linux, enterprise networking, VPN/private connectivity, modernization)\n\nFinOps/cost optimization (monitoring, budgets, controls)\n\nSAP/ERP and enterprise system integrations (Azure or hybrid)\n\nWhat we look for\nWe are interested in entrepreneurs who have the confidence to develop and promote a brand new strategic vision both internally and externally.
