Through our coaching and training programs, you’ll develop the skills you need to stay relevant today and, in the future, - all while building a network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who will be on the journey with you at EY and beyond.\nThe opportunity: your next adventure awaits\nDigital Factory - Data Engineer - Supervising Associate\nAt EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.\nJoin us and help build a better working world.\nThe Data Engineer provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership in the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise-grade data platforms supporting EY’s digital products, analytics, and data-driven transformation initiatives.\nThis role owns data engineering outcomes end-to-end-defining platform strategy, setting standards, and leading teams to deliver scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant data solutions in regulated environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Platform Strategy & Technical Leadership\nDefine and drive the data engineering strategy aligned with product, analytics, and enterprise architecture goals\nOwn the target architecture across lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming environments\nGovern architecture decisions across scalability, cost, performance, security, and compliance\nAct as design authority for complex data solutions and pipelines\nData Engineering & Platform Delivery\nLead design and implementation of enterprise-scale batch and streaming pipelines using Python and modern frameworks\nEnsure robust ingestion, transformation, and serving layers across diverse data sources (APIs, databases, events, files)\nDevelop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices\nEstablish standards for data contracts, schemas, versioning, and documentation\nSecurity, Risk & Compliance\nEmbed secure-by-design principles (access control, encryption, secrets management)\nEnsure adherence to regulatory and enterprise policies (data classification, lineage, retention, auditability)\nSupport audits, risk assessments, and governance forums as a data engineering SME\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field\nFluency in English. Any additional language(s) are highly appreciated. \nProven experience in data engineering, including solution ownership or leadership responsibilities\nStrong expertise in Python and SQL for large-scale, production environments\nSolid experience designing and operating enterprise data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, analytical systems)\nStrong understanding of data modeling (dimensional, normalized, lakehouse)\nExperience with CI/CD, automated testing, and engineering governance\nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)\nProven experience in data security, access control, and platform reliability\nPreferred\nExperience with Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory\nKnowledge of streaming/event-driven architectures (Kafka, Event Hubs, Service Bus)\nExperience with lakehouse or enterprise data warehouse strategies\nBackground in financial services or regulated environments\nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep)\nWhat you can expect:\nA first HR Call\nTwo rounds of Interviews with the Business\n\nAre you ready to shape your future with confidence?
