Within this landscape, Risk Management & GCO requires robust environment strategy, governance, and operational excellence to support critical regulatory and control platforms.\nThe Environment Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of all environments supporting Risk Management and GCO applications, including planning, provisioning, governance, and coordination with release and change management processes. This role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to align technical environments with business and regulatory requirements.\nThe opportunity\nThe Environment Manager will lead environment strategy and execution across Risk Management and GCO platforms, ensuring environments are aligned with business priorities, release schedules, and control requirements. This role is accountable for environment availability, stability, and readiness to support development, testing, and production activities.\nYou will partner with product owners, development, production support, and business stakeholders to enable seamless delivery and operational continuity.\nYour key responsibilities\nCoordinate, plan, and manage all environment-related activities including provisioning, refresh, and lifecycle management.\nDefine environment strategy covering availability, utilization, and capacity planning.\nAlign environment schedules with release and deployment timelines to ensure readiness.\nPartner with Service Delivery and Operations to ensure coordinated delivery and operational readiness.\nEstablish and enforce governance standards including environment controls, access, and data integrity.\nDrive issue resolution related to environment conflicts or instability.\nProvide leadership, direction, and coaching to support teams.\nEnsure clear communication across business, development, QA, and operations teams.\nIdentify and implement operational improvements to reduce cost and increase quality.\nSupport Agile/SAFe planning and execution across multiple products.\nTrack and communicate environment metrics and readiness status.\nContribute to budget planning and resource strategy.\nAnalytical / Decision-Making Responsibilities:\nCommunicate effectively with Risk Management, GCO leadership, and Enterprise Technology stakeholders.\nInfluence prioritization and allocation of environments across competing initiatives.\nBalance delivery demands with operational stability and compliance requirements.\nBuild strong stakeholder relationships to enable aligned decision-making.\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong understanding of enterprise environment management practices.\nAbility to translate business and regulatory requirements into environment strategies.\nExperience in Agile/SAFe delivery models.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.\nAbility to develop long-term environment roadmaps aligned to product strategy.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.\n10+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise environments or platforms.\n5+ years of experience in environment planning and lifecycle management.\n5+ years supporting release and change management processes.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExperience supporting system implementations or migrations.\nExperience with multiple SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.\nStrong project management capabilities and ability to manage competing priorities.\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance-driven environments.\nSAFe or Agile certifications.\nExperience with cloud-based enterprise environments.\nWhat we look for\nA self-starter with strong ownership and accountability.\nAbility to work across complex, multi-team environments.\nStrong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nWhat we offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
