This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a leading firm while playing a pivotal role in the growth of our Education practice. As a member of our EY-Parthenon Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) team, you will work closely with private equity investors and corporate clients to evaluate investment opportunities across multiple sub-segments within the education sector. The role requires a hands-on approach to diligence execution and the ability to independently drive key workstreams from hypothesis generation through final recommendations.\nYour key responsibilities:\nUtilize an \"answer-first\" approach to lead commercial diligence engagements and growth strategy engagements for private equity and corporate clients.\nIndependently own and drive critical diligence workstreams, including market assessment, growth outlook, customer analysis, competitive benchmarking, and target positioning.\nLead day-to-day CDD execution, develop hypotheses, structure analyses, manage junior team members, and synthesize findings into client-ready recommendations.\nConduct detailed market and value chain assessments across Education end markets, identifying growth drivers, margin dynamics, competitive intensity, and key transaction risks.\nReview transaction rationale to identify critical business issues, commercial risks, and value creation opportunities relating to proposed investments.\nSupport management interviews, expert calls, customer research, and triangulation of multiple data sources to develop evidence-based conclusions.\nSupport business development activities by leading pursuits and strengthening relationships with existing clients.\nParticipate in building a sector-focused Education practice and contribute to knowledge development, credentials, and thought leadership within the Education sector.\nCollaborate effectively with global stakeholders across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nStrategy Consulting, Commercial Due Diligence, or Transaction Advisory experience with leading consulting firms, including Big 4, MBB, and boutique consulting firms.\nDemonstrated experience delivering Commercial Due Diligence, growth strategy, market assessment, or transaction-related engagements.\nRelevant sector experience in Education, including sub-segments such as K-12, Higher education, Education services and technology, professional learning, test preparation and assessments, adjacencies such as Govtech, Edtech etc..\nProven ability to independently manage workstreams, supervise analysts, and deliver high-quality outputs with limited oversight.\nStrong commercial acumen with the ability to assess industries, markets, competitors, customers, and value chains to identify investment risks and opportunities.\nIdeal candidate profile\n5 -7 years of experience in Commercial Due Diligence, Strategy Consulting, or Transaction Strategy.\nStrong understanding of Education markets and business models.\nExperience working on multiple buy-side / Sell side Commercial Due Diligence engagements.\nComfortable operating in fast-paced private equity timelines.\nAble to independently structure problems, manage stakeholders, and translate analyses into actionable investment insights.\nDemonstrated ability to coach junior team members while remaining heavily involved in analysis and storyline development.\nWhat the job would entail\nAs part of our EY-Parthenon team, you will help clients develop their investment strategies and evaluate potential transactions.
