We are looking for an experienced, client facing director with a passion for data and technology, experience in working with Financial Services Industry Clients in Ireland or UK, and proven expertise in leadership of complex Finance, Risk or Regulatory Data Delivery projects.\nWe are looking for a person with technology consulting experience, track record in project and team leadership, client relationship management excellence, communication, and business acumen as well as passion for innovation, building high performing teams and culture of trust, respect, and diversity. In your Director role you will lead a consulting and delivery service on a variety of data driven decision making projects, within a fast-paced consulting environment.\nYour Key Client Responsibilities\nDesign, shape, mobilise and lead Data and Analytics consulting engagements end to end, from initial conversations throughout the opportunity and delivery lifecycle. As a senior team member, shape and manage engagement teams. Manage and oversee commercial elements of the engagements. \nBuild, extend and manage client and partner relationships.\nAssess data-related strategies and approaches, policies and procedures, technologies and tools against industry best practices, and provide options and recommendations to keep our clients at the forefront of their data capabilities.\nUnderstand and shape EY’s service offerings, actively identify and create opportunities to better serve clients across our range of services. \nIdentify potential new business opportunities for EY to incubate or drive new solutions and services and collaborate with our clients and partners.\nKey Practice and People Development Responsibilities\nContribute to definition and implementation of the FSO data strategy, aligning with the FSO Consulting business objectives and roadmap, and supporting the work pipeline. \nLead diverse teams with varying skillsets, who use a broad selection of Data and Analytics technologies. Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and their cultural needs. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. \nContribute to expanding our brand in the market as industry leaders by attending relevant events, collaborating with other teams, presenting points of view and thought leadership, etc.\nAct as a subject matter expert in the relevant field of data, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices, and sharing knowledge within the firm and the broader professional community.\nParticipate in business development activities including client presentations and proposals. \nPlay a part in driving our thought leadership agenda by maintaining an up-to-date point of view on the latest methodologies, technologies, and emerging trends for publishing as points of view or proof of concept.\nFoster a supportive, inclusive and growth team-oriented work culture.\nSkills and attributes for success\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nRelevant experience in technology consulting with a blue-chip consulting firm, with significant management track record and financial industry knowledge.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop others, effectively communicate, manage budgets, timelines, and plans, manage client expectations, deliver quality projects. \nSignificant client relationship management skills, gained through prior consulting roles or within large financial services / technology organisations.\nExceptional verbal and written communication and problems solving skills. \nProven track record in relevant management and leadership roles in data centric projects and engagements in consulting industry.\nExperience in delivering successful technology change outcomes, on time and to budget. \nApplied knowledge of modern delivery approaches e.g., Agile.\nProven expertise in one or more relevant Data and Analytics domains: Data Strategy and Strategic Delivery, Data Architecture and Engineering, Data Management and Regulatory Reporting. \nExperience working in the financial services industry in Ireland and/ or UK, leading Data and Analytics change projects in one of key focus areas: Finance, Risk and / or Regulatory.\nPrior experience in leading data elements of significant Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting change programmes in the banking sector, such as IFRS9, IRB, BCBS239, CCR, Finrep, Corep, PRA110, Basel III/ IV etc. \nA completed degree (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD); with relevant industry certification such as Prince2, PMP, SAFe, Scrum etc. \nFamiliarity with End-to-End data delivery lifecycle, Data Models, Data Architecture and Data Management concepts and principles in financial services. \nExperience and qualifications are advantageous\nExperience in Financial Services in Ireland or UK.\nDAMA or DCAM certifications. \nRelevant Data Engineering or Data Management certifications. \nDelivery of data projects reliant on Teradata on premise architecture. \nProject delivery credentials, e.g. project management or agile delivery certification are an advantage.\nPrior knowledge of NoSQL database technologies a plus, e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j are a plus.\nAbility to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty. \nGrowth and continuous learning mindset.\nManagement of MI/ BI reports or preparation and delivery of regulatory reports as a bonus.\nWhat we look for\nSomeone who enjoys working as part of community which values integrity, respect, teaming, and inclusiveness.\nSomeone with energy, enthusiasm and courage who enjoys solving complex problems and variety in their day-to-day working life.\nSomeone who is passionate about reaching their full potential and excelling in their career.\nWhat working at EY offers\nWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
