It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.\nEnterprise Technology (ET) - ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.\nInformation Security (InfoSec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.\nThe opportunity\nThe Security Data Engineer partners closely across the Security Technology Services organization and Information Security to support and management of Security products and services. This includes analytics and reporting, service reviews, service improvements, service transition, introduction and readiness, and other activities as identified pertaining to end-to-end service management of internal security technology offerings.\nYour key responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.\nUtilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.\nWork with Data Bricks and Data Lake technologies to manage and optimize data storage and processing.\nCollaborate with security teams to understand data requirements and integrate data from various security tools.\nCreate and maintain documentation for data pipelines, processes, and workflows.\nMonitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and data quality issues.\nDevelop data models and visualizations to present security insights to stakeholders.\nStay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and security analytics.\nSkills and attributes for success\nConceptual knowledge of security applications and technologies, as well as operating system platforms including Cloud technologies\nProven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.\nStrong proficiency in SQL and experience with data manipulation and querying.\nHands-on experience with Data Bricks and Data Lake technologies.\nFamiliarity with security tools and frameworks for data extraction.\nKnowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency in Azure Cloud services, with a strong understanding of Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Sentinel\nBuild and maintain strong relationships across all levels of a matrixed, geographically and culturally dispersed organization\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nPossess knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to drive compliance in Incident, Problem, and Change processes and drive as necessary\nTo qualify for the role you must have\nDegree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience\n7-10 years working within Information Technology in a global firm\nKnowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Notebooks, PySpark, Spark SQL\nWorking knowledge of data analysis programming or scripting languages, such as Python (with libraries like pandas, NumPy) or PowerShell\nExperience with Azure SQL and database management systems for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.\nCertifications in data visualization or analytics platforms.\nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).\nKnowledge of programming languages such as Python or Scala.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).\nWhat we look for\nCritical thinking skills demonstrating analytical and systematic approach to problem solving\nExperience working in a global virtual environment\nExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills\nGood judgment, tact, and decision-making ability\nAbility to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to work with cross cultural teams.\nAbility to deal with ambiguity and change, and exercise appropriate time management to meet deadlines\nAbility to work autonomously but also within a team environment where necessary \nWhat working at EY offers\nWe offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
