This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable developer who is ready to operate at a senior level, combining hands-on delivery with technical leadership, mentorship, and ownership of complex systems. We are looking for someone who is ready to challenge themselves by learning new technologies, lead developer teams and understand a product from end to end.\nYour key responsibilities\nActively participate and own the design, development and delivery of full stack products from user interfaces through to the supportive backend databases\nBuild and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.\nDesign and implement robust APIs and services, ensuring security, reliability and maintainability.\nWork closely with product teams to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nPresent delivered features and technical solutions confidently to stakeholders and clients.\nPerform thorough peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining high engineering standards.\nSupport and lead non-functional improvements, including technical debt reduction, performance optimisation and creation of clear API documentation.\nProvide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong professional full-stack development experience, with increasing levels of responsibility.\nStrong experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.\nStrong backend development experience using Node.js, Java, Python, .NET or similar technologies.\nProven ability to design and build scalable APIs and distributed systems.\nSolid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.\nExperience with testing frameworks, unit testing, integration testing and automated testing strategies.\nStrong understanding of software development best practices, system design, maintainability and code quality.\nExperience working in agile, cross-functional teams and contributing to delivery planning and estimation.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices would be beneficial.\nExposure to NoSQL databases, microservices or event-driven architectures would be desirable.\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nStrong leadership and technical decision-making ability.\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.\nConfident communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nA mentor mindset with a passion for developing others and raising team capability.\nHigh level of ownership, accountability and attention to detail.\nWhat we look for\nWe’re interested in candidates who can take end-to-end ownership of complex features and systems, balancing hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
