The role requires mastery of the technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as portfolio management, program management, methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Senior Project manager must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers.\nThe role will primarily focus on EY’s Real Estate construction projects and the deployment of office technology including but not limited to; AV, Network, Print, IoT solutions, Smart Lockers and Workstation devices.\nYour key responsibilities\nLead the development of project charters and scopes, ensuring the timely delivery of technology solutions that align with construction project schedules and budgets.\nEnsure alignment with relevant EY stakeholder playbooks for pre-initiate through project closure process’.\nExecute relevant project management processes, focusing on the integration of technology into construction phases, including scope, cost, time, risk, resource, and stakeholder management.\nMonitor and control project activities to ensure alignment with technology deployment objectives and construction timelines.\nManage risks, issues, and changes across both business and IT components of construction projects.\nReport variances to the approved project baseline (based on EY’s technology tiering strategy), providing insights into technology integration challenges and successes.\nFormalize project closure to ensure acceptance of technology solutions and release of project resources.\nInterface and communicate effectively with project teams, management, and stakeholders to ensure seamless technology deployment.\nOversee project work and resources to facilitate the successful and timely implementation of technology solutions.\nConduct gate reviews and quality assurance assessments related to technology integration within construction projects.\nDeliver projects that align with overall business and technology strategies and are implemented according to industry best practices for RE construction projects.\nManage external contracts and suppliers as necessary to support technology deployment.\nCollaborate with project stakeholder teams to develop business cases, focusing on technology solutions that align with stated requirements and offices use.\nDefine project objectives, phases, and content to deliver on business case benefits, budget, and timelines, with a focus on technology integration.\nEnsure adherence to quality project standards as prescribed by EY Technology through effective implementation of approved processes and methodologies.\nSkills and attributes for success\nProven experience managing IT projects with accountability for delivering technology solutions in large, complex construction projects, typically valued up to $10 million and lasting 12 to 18 months.\nMastery of project management methodologies, tools, and templates, with a focus on technology deployment in construction settings.\nStrong customer focus, characterized by openness, trust, and a commitment to delivering on promises.\nExperience managing contracts to ensure compliance from vendors and suppliers in technology-related agreements.\nFamiliarity with both packaged and bespoke systems and infrastructure, ideally in an international construction context.\nAbility to manage multiple large, complex projects simultaneously, particularly in technology deployment.\nIT background with experience across the office technology spectrum and familiarity with product and solution life cycle.\nKnowledge of industry-standard project methods, tools, and techniques relevant to technology integration in construction.\nStrong team collaboration skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nLeadership in applying IT methodologies, processes, and standards for project management in construction technology deployment.\nTo qualify for the role you must have\nA degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.\n15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment\n10 to 15 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction-related IT projects.\nRelevant experience in technical fields such as deployment/implementation, and infrastructure within the construction industry.\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nProject management certification (PMI PMP).\nFamiliarity with ITIL v2 or v3.\nWork experience in a professional services industry, particularly in a construction based technology deployment role.\nWhat we offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
