Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.\nThe opportunity\nThe Enterprise Security Program is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, global information security initiatives across EY. This Assistant Director role is designed for a project leader who can connect strategy to execution, bring together cross-functional teams, and drive outcomes that reduce enterprise risk while supporting business value and operational resilience.\nThe role sits within Information Security and will support the Enterprise Security Program’s Asset & Data Protection Services Team. It requires strong leadership without direct authority, clear executive communication, and the ability to coordinate across Information Security, Member Firms, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nYour key responsibilities\nLead complex global information security programs and projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, plans, milestones, risks, budgets and outcomes are actively managed. \nTranslate enterprise security objectives into clear execution plans that support business value, measurable benefits and risk reduction. \nCoordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams across Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, Member Firms, vendors and contractors. \nDrive project governance, status reporting, issue escalation and decision-making with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors. \nDevelop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies and RAID items using project management platforms and tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools. \nIdentify risks, issues, interdependencies and resource constraints across programs, busy seasons and organizational priorities, and develop pragmatic mitigation plans. \nFacilitate stakeholder alignment by integrating feedback, resolving conflicts and keeping teams focused on shared outcomes. \nSupport continuous improvement of security processes, governance practices and delivery methods, including lessons learned and sustainable operating models. \nMentor and coach project team members, build team engagement, and encourage accountability, collaboration and quality delivery.\nSkills and attributes for success\nTo succeed in this role, you will need to combine information security knowledge, disciplined program delivery, and strong executive presence. The strongest candidates will demonstrate: \nTechnical and security knowledge: Understanding of information security technologies, including cloud, network, perimeter, messaging, endpoint and data security, along with familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls. \nProject management depth: Proven ability to manage complex information security projects, including iterative and waterfall delivery methods, planning, budget management, risk management and stakeholder governance. \nLeadership without authority: Ability to build trusted relationships, motivate teams, establish a shared vision and drive delivery across teams that do not directly report to the role. \nExecutive communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical matters for non-technical stakeholders and present concise, data-driven updates to senior leadership. \nStakeholder engagement: Ability to engage executive leadership and key stakeholders, understand competing priorities and negotiate alignment at multiple levels of the organization. \nRisk and issue management: Ability to anticipate delivery risks, assess business impact, make timely recommendations and drive mitigation through structured plans. \nProblem solving: Strong analytical thinking, critical judgment, creativity and conflict-resolution skills in time-sensitive or ambiguous situations. \nGlobal mindset: Comfort operating across cultures, geographies, Member Firms and organizational structures, including awareness of political, regulatory and commercial factors that may affect delivery.\nTo qualify for the role you must have\nProven experience leading complex global information security, technology or risk-related programs from initiation to closure. \nStrong understanding of information security technologies and operating environments, including cloud, network, endpoint, messaging and data security domains. \nExperience managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and executive reporting for complex initiatives. \nKnowledge of security frameworks, standards and risk management methodologies, including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls or comparable frameworks. \nExperience working with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, including preparing clear status updates, recommendations and escalation materials. \nAbility to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and drive outcomes through influence, structure and accountability. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics in business terms. \nExperience identifying interdependencies across other programs, operational timelines, business cycles and organizational priorities. \nAbility to operate in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities.\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nRelevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM or equivalent practical experience. \nExperience with project management and delivery platforms such as MS Project, Azure DevOps or similar tools. \nExperience supporting compliance, privacy or regulatory requirements, including Privacy Impact Assessments and GDPR-related considerations. \nExperience supporting security initiatives that align to business strategy, operational resilience and measurable risk reduction. \nFamiliarity with vendor and contractor coordination in support of complex technology or security programs.\nWhat we look for\nWe are looking for a seasoned Information Security project leader who can bring structure to complexity, communicate with clarity, and deliver outcomes through influence.
