With guidance from partners and directors you'll identify potential business opportunities for EY. By drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.\nYour key responsibilities\nYou'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on Supply Chain & Operations projects and internal initiatives. In line with EY's commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams - or parts of teams - on engagements will depend on the size of engagement. When working on engagements, you'll report to higher levels of management, who will expect you to anticipate and identify risks, and escalate any issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.\nFor this specific role, you’ll be able to demonstrate a deep level of Consulting and Industry experience related to (at least 2 of the below, ideally all 3):\nManufacturing Excellence and Improvement (e.g. using Lean, TPM and Similar Approaches)\nSupply Chain Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and overall Strategic Planning. You will be expected to\nDigital Grid Services - services helping utility organizations across their E2E digitization journey, including articulation and execution of their strategic direction, implementation of Smart Metering/AMI capabilities\nYou will also be expected to own the Manufacturing Transformation and Digital Grid solution for EY Africa.\nClient responsibilities\nParticipate in Supply Chain & Operations engagements.\nHelp manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.\nParticipate in business development initiatives.\nBuild strong internal relationships within EY Consulting Services and with other services across the organization\nPeople responsibilities\nDevelop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff.\nConduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.\nContribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Supply Chain & Operations professionals.\nMaintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff.\nUnderstand and follow workplace policies and procedures\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nYou'll have knowledge and experience in the following areas:\nManufacturing Transformation - using elements such as Lean, TPM and related approaches\nSupply Chain Planning (IBP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Strategic Planning)\nDigital Grid Services - services helping utility organizations across their E2E digitization journey\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nYou'll also have knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas:\nDigital / Intelligent Supply Chain\nRapid supply chain assessment\nSupply chain transformation\nSupply chain process efficiency\nProcurement transformation\nOperational cost reduction\nOperating model design\nYou'll have knowledge and experience in one or more of EY priority industry sectors:\nUtilities\nConsumer Products\nIndustrial Products\nMining & Metals\nGovernment and Public Sector\nWhat working at EY offers\nWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
