In a rapidly changing business and tax environment, we develop dynamic leaders who, through their professionalism and entrepreneurial spirit, make a positive impact on the working world.\nOur Tax Services department in Jamaica is currently offering exceptional career opportunities for an Experienced Staff.\nResponsibilities\nTeaming with tax professionals within a compliance group to execute tax compliance work\nDetermine all information required to ensure/complete accurate tax compliance products within the budget. Formulate a plan to gather/communicate information\nProvide timely and high-quality services and work products that meet client expectations\nBuild on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and applying them to relevant situations\nDemonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products\nContribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; actively seeking assignments when unassigned; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and attempting to find new approaches\nRequirements:\nAt least 1-2 years of relevant experience within a Finance and Accounting or tax compliance environment with exposure to tax matters\nBachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Economics (or any related field) and/ or completed or pursuing a professional certification e.g CPA, ACCA, LEC\nWorking knowledge of current and emerging tax issues as well as tax laws, with the ability to apply knowledge\nGeneral knowledge or coursework in tax laws\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools\nA commitment to learning in a tax technology environment\nExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nCandidate should be; curious, an active learner, agile, innovative and open to new ideas\nWhat we offer you\nAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
