As a Senior AI Automation Engineer, you will play also play a key role in identifying automation opportunities, improving existing agent workflows, and strengthening backend services that power intelligent, automated AI systems.\nYour key responsibilities\nEnhance, optimize, and maintain backend services supporting AI agentic workflows\nBuild scalable REST APIs using FastAPI with strong validation and async features\nDevelop, refine, and troubleshoot multi-step agent workflows using LangGraph\nIdentify automation opportunities across AI applications and implement scalable solutions\nContainerize and deploy services using Docker and Docker Compose\nWrite clean, maintainable Python code with robust unit tests (pytest/unittest)\nDesign and manage database schemas and integrations for MongoDB and PostgreSQL\nInvestigate performance issues across backend and agentic systems\nSkills and attributes for success\nStrong analytical mindset with the ability to spot automation opportunities\nDeep debugging capability across backend services and AI agent workflows\nAbility to design modular, scalable backend components\nProactive ownership and strong collaboration skills\nComfort working in fast-paced, innovative AI environments\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nDegree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science\nCore PythonStrong foundation in Lists, Dictionaries, Tuples, Sets, and OOP (classes, inheritance, composition).\nExperience in writing modular, performant code with profiling and debugging skills.\nKnowledge of virtual environments, dependency management, and unit testing.\nHands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL schema design.\n\nFastAPI & Backend DevelopmentProven experience building production APIs with FastAPI.\nProficiency in async/await, Pydantic models, and token-based authentication.\nWorking knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, YAML setups, and container networking.\n\nLangGraphExperience building multi-step agent workflows (nodes, edges, state management).\nAbility to manage conversation state, context propagation, retries, and fallbacks.\nStrong debugging capability for agent failures and execution tracing.\n\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nExperience with microservices architectures.\nExposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with LLM-based or AI automation products.\nWhat we look for\nA problem-solver passionate about AI-driven automation.\nSomeone who takes ownership and thrives in innovative environments.\nA team player committed to building scalable AI systems with precision and quality.\nWhat we offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
