As a member of EY’s core Tax practice, you’ll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.\nEver-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.\nEY's GDS Tax Technology team members work side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Tax.\nGDS Tax Technology works closely with clients and professionals in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and Internal Tax Services. GDS Tax Technology provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global TAX service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.\nEY is currently seeking a Data Engineer - Senior to join our Tax Technology practice in India.\nKey Responsibilities\nHands-on experience in expertise in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions, data warehouse/data Lake using Snowflake\nHas good knowledge on Snowflake Architecture (compute-storage separation, virtual warehouses)\nAnalyzing Queries Using Query Profile, Cache architecture\nImplement data integration solutions using Snowflake, including data ingestion from various sources.\nExperience on Streams, Tasks, Snow pipe Azure Data Factory or any other ETL for data ingestion & automation \nDesign and Develop ETL workflows for Snowflake, Experience using different ETL Solutions.\nStrong database programming/ backend development experience using SQL Server/Azure SQL, writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors, UDFs.\nStrong knowledge in data modeling and Datawarehouse concepts.\nDevelops, maintains, and optimizes all data layer components for new and existing systems, including databases, stored procedures, ETL packages, and SQL queries\nExperience on Azure data platform offerings.\nInteracts with application developers from various core systems to address changes in those systems and their impact on existing SQL databases\nDefines data solutions for business problems by working directly with project managers, seniors and clients\nAbility to effectively communicate with other senior leaders of IT on program strategies and plans and negotiate quality solutions\nExperience in Data modeling (Star, Snowflake schema, Data Vault)\nHas Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines\nQualification & Experience Required\nStrong verbal and written communications skills\nAbility to work as an individual contributor.\n5+ years of combined experience using Snowflake, Azure SQL/ SQL Server or including building Database, database designing and data modelling\nExperience on Snowpipe or Azure Data Factory or SSIS or any other ETL tools\nExposure to visual analytics tool (Power BI) would be good to have but not mandatory\nFamiliarity with Python for automation and scripting.\nEY | Building a better working world\nEY
