why we're hiring a Chapter Lead - Mobile Engineering to lead that chapter.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nYou'll own the technical and people direction of our mobile engineering chapter, split roughly 70/30 between hands-on technical leadership and chapter development.\nSet architectural direction and code quality standards for iOS and Android apps built natively and cross-platform\n\nOwn CI/CD, testing and platform integration practices across the chapter\n\nDirectly manage and develop 5 mobile engineers across squads, including coaching and 1:1s\n\nLead recruitment and capability development for the chapter\n\nManage performance, including having direct, difficult conversations and running formal processes such as PIPs when needed\n\nReport into the Domain Chapter Lead and represent mobile engineering across the wider organisation\n\n WHAT YOU NEED\nYou'll need solid mobile engineering depth and either proven people leadership or strong technical leadership potential.\n5+ years of professional mobile engineering experience, native (Swift/Kotlin) or cross-platform (React Native, Flutter, KMM)\n\nAt least one app shipped and maintained in a public app store\n\nStrong knowledge of mobile application architecture, deployment, crash reporting and app analytics\n\nFamiliarity with agile methodologies and product-led squads\n\nExperience with mobile security, testing, CI/CD and observability practices\n\nEither strong, proven people leadership experience with generic modern mobile experience (Kotlin, Flutter or similar), or strong individual-contributor mobile engineering experience with leadership potential and hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) experience\n\nDemonstrated ability to have difficult conversations, push back and manage performance, including with people you're close to\n\nCross-platform expertise (React Native, Flutter, KMM) is a fine substitute for native-only Swift/Kotlin depth if you're coming in via the strong people leadership path\n\nStrong technical leadership without formal line-management authority is fine in place of having formally managed a team of around 5, if you bring strong technical depth and KMM experience\n\nSaaS or connected hardware/mobile integration experience, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Redux and mobile CI/CD tools such as Bitrise, Fastlane or AppCenter are all a bonus, not a requirement\n\n WHY
