The Regional Installation Manager plays a critical leadership role within EROAD's field operations, responsible for the quality, performance, and compliance of our third-party installer network across the assigned region.\nOperating in the fast-moving automotive telematics industry, this role ensures that all installations of EROAD products are completed to the highest standard, in a timely and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and revenue enablement.\nThis role involves direct engagement with installer partners-sourcing, assessing, qualifying, and developing them into high-performing, safety-focused providers. The successful candidate brings a strong background in automotive systems, operational leadership, and continuous improvement.\nThere is a lot happening at EROAD, and it is essential that our Regional Installation Manager enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment and has a strong sense of teamwork.\nThis role reports to the Installation Manager AU.\nJob Responsibilities\nInstaller Network Management\nSource, assess, and qualify new installer partners to meet regional demand and ensure capability coverage\nManage the performance and compliance of third-party installers, ensuring consistent delivery aligned with EROAD’s standards\nEstablish strong working relationships with installers and develop them into trusted, long-term partners\nMaintain a current and scalable pool of EROAD-preferred installers\nInstallation Delivery & Revenue Enablement\nEnsure installations are completed in a timely and efficient manner to support positive revenue recognition and customer onboarding timelines\nBalance installer capacity with forecast demand to reduce backlogs and delays\nMonitor pipeline, escalate risks, and intervene early where revenue or customer satisfaction is at risk\nTraining\nSupport and train the Installer Network to provide the necessary services of installation\nTrain technicians and provide accreditation to install EROAD product\nAssist with the development and delivery of training for staff in respect to EROAD products and services and their use and deployment\nSupport installation quality, control, and audit processes\nHealth and Safety\nChampion a strong health and safety culture across all installation activities, both internally and with third-party partners\nDeliver onboarding and ongoing safety training to installers, ensuring compliance with legal and industry requirements\nInvestigate incidents and lead implementation of preventative and corrective actions\nQuality\nConduct regular audits of completed installations to ensure workmanship, product functionality, and documentation meet EROAD’s technical standards\nIdentify quality issues and drive corrective actions, training, or process changes as needed\nValidate integration with vehicle systems (12V/24V, CAN, OBD-II, GPS, camera systems, etc.)\nTroubleshoot difficult or problematic installations in coordination with installers, EROAD support, and R&D staff as required\nCost Control & Process Improvement\nImplement and manage cost control measures for regional installation activities\nOptimise workflows and reduce unnecessary complexity in installation processes\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across audit, safety, and delivery performance\nIssue Escalation & Risk Management\nServe as the escalation point for regional technical or operational issues related to installation\nIdentify and mitigate risks related to installer capacity, technical capability, safety, or customer impact\nCommunicate issues and trends to senior leadership and recommend action plans\nSupplier Management\nSupport and feedback to third-party providers in the delivery of their Service Delivery Targets for EROAD to meet agreed SLAs and KPIs\nGather feedback\nCoordinate with the network to ensure campaign installation volumes are met\nTechnical Team Member\nKey regional contact for accredited installers with technical questions\nIntegral part of the wider EROAD technical installation team\nActive contributor for feedback on improvements for installation on existing and new vehicles as they come to market\nKey contributor to in-field solutions to bespoke customer requirements in collaboration with R&D staff\nSupport EROAD’s continuous improvement process through supplier management feedback and improvement discussions\nContributor to regular technical bulletins to the wider installation network\nWhat You’ll Bring\nTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:\nProven experience in automotive telematics, automotive electrical, or vehicle technology installation\nExperience managing contractor networks or service delivery across a wide region\nStrong understanding of 12V/24V systems, CAN bus, dashcams, GPS, and connected vehicle technologies\nExcellent auditing, communication, and relationship-building skills\nDemonstrated ability to balance quality, safety, cost, and delivery timelines\nBackground in managing safety-critical environments and leading corrective actions\nStrong interpersonal and written communication skills\nA systematic problem-solving approach with a customer-focused mindset\nStrong exposure to Health and Safety and ability to advocate and drive change\nPrevious training experience\nHighly organised with strong attention to customer-critical details and a strong sense of urgency\nSkills & Required Experience\nAt least 3 years’ experience working with subcontractors and customers\nAt least 5 years’ auto-electrical or similar experience\nWhy You’ll Love Working at EROAD\nEROAD is a true Kiwi success story in the tech sector.
