We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.\nRole Overview:\nWe are seeking a motivated, dependable, and eager-to-learn Entry-Level Microgrid Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance and operation of multiple microgrid generator systems. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to start or grow their career in power generation, mechanical maintenance, or industrial equipment support.\nThe technician will work closely with Area Managers and senior technicians to assist with generator inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general equipment upkeep to ensure reliable operation and customer support. Mechanical aptitude is required, and any prior electrical, diesel engine, trade school, or hands-on technical experience is a plus.\nThis position is based remotely in the Phoenix area and reports directly to the Regional Manager.\n Key responsibilities:\nPerform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.\nBe proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.\nFacilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.\nPerform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.\nPerform troubleshooting and repair tasks.\nPerform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.\nWork in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.\nFollow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.\nUtilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.\nEnsure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.\nSafely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting company business.\nAdditional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management.\nSafely prepare, operate, and maintain a motor vehicle for purposes of conduction company business\nRequirements\n Basic (Required) Qualifications:\nBasic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge with an interest in power generation, industrial equipment, or field service operations.\nAbility to safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel while following all traffic laws and company safety standards.\nMust successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and maintain a valid driver’s license.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to performing quality work safely and accurately.\nBasic computer skills, including the ability to use software applications, mobile devices, and digital systems for work documentation and communication.\nWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including participation in an on-call rotation that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nEntry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; trade school, vocational training, military technical training, or hands-on mechanical/electrical experience is highly preferred.\nStrong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nMust be able to be on your feet for multiple hours a day.\nMust be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs safely.\nIntegrity- Work efficiently and effectively when with or without supervision.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nVolvo Penta Diesel Engine experience\nDiagnostic and troubleshooting skills.\n Benefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\nDisability Insurance\nPaid Family Leave\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nWellness Programs and Incentives\n401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match\nPaid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time\nPaid Holidays\nDo you have what it takes to join the ERock team?
