As a leader in distributed energy and microgrid solutions, ERock relies on top-tier engineering talent to ensure our critical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.\nThis role serves as the primary on-site technical resource for plant operations, partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Compliance, and corporate support teams. The Plant Engineer is responsible for monitoring plant performance, analyzing operational data, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and driving reliability and performance improvements across the facility.\nSuccess in this role requires strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and a passion for continuous improvement. The Plant Engineer plays a critical role in identifying issues, developing solutions, and helping ensure long-term asset reliability while serving as a key link between site execution and ERock's engineering standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerformance & Reliability\nMonitor and analyze plant performance, availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nIdentify equipment issues, performance gaps, and failure trends and drive corrective actions.\nPerform root cause analysis of equipment failures and operational events.\nSupport predictive and condition-based maintenance initiatives.\nTechnical Support\nProvide engineering support for troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational improvements.\nSupport startup, shutdown, and day-to-day plant operations.\nCollaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.\nSystems & Controls\nSupport DCS/HMI performance, alarm management, instrumentation, and control system functionality.\nEvaluate system configurations and recommend improvements to reliability and operability.\nEnsure monitoring systems provide accurate and actionable data.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nMaintain plant drawings, procedures, and technical documentation.\nSupport regulatory compliance activities, audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.\nEnsure documentation remains accurate and aligned with company standards.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead initiatives to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and overall performance.\nSupport capital projects, system upgrades, and plant modifications.\nAnalyze operational and maintenance data to support long-term planning and asset performance.\nRequirements\n Basic (Required) Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).\n3-7 years of experience in power generation, industrial operations, or similar environments.\nStrong understanding of plant systems, equipment, and operational workflows.\nExperience with control systems (DCS/HMI) and plant monitoring systems.\nExperience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.\nStrong communication, technical, and organizational skills.\nBasic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and system use.\nAbility to travel as required to support site operations.\n Physical & Work Environment Requirements\nAbility to work in industrial and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, and cold.\nRegular presence in operating areas with exposure to mechanical and electrical equipment.\nAbility to stand, walk, and navigate the site for extended periods.\nAbility to climb ladders and safely lift up to 50 pounds.\nRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety standards.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with distributed energy resources, microgrids, or reciprocating engine generator systems.\nStrong skills in CAD software, manufacturing process simulation, or PLC and control systems.\nProven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement methodologies.\nProfessional Engineer license or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional designation.\n Benefits:\nCompetitive Pay\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with a company contribution\nWellness Programs and Incentives\n401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match\nPaid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time\nPaid Holidays\nDo you have what it takes to join the ERock team?
