We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.\n Role Overview:\nERock is seeking a Product Manager for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear to lead the technical and commercial strategy for this critical product area. This role sits within the product organization and works closely with engineering, procurement, operations, sales, and external suppliers. This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role. The Product Manager will own the switchgear roadmap, define technical requirements, guide supplier strategy, and ensure products meet performance, cost, schedule, and customer requirements across ERock’s solutions portfolio.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduct Strategy and Ownership\nOwn the LV and MV switchgear product strategy and roadmap aligned with company goals\nDefine product vision, use cases, and success metrics for switchgear platforms\nEvaluate make vs buy decisions and supplier partnerships for switchgear solutions\nDrive standardization while allowing flexibility for project-specific needs\nTechnical Leadership\nAct as the technical product owner for LV and MV switchgear systems\nWork closely with Project Engineers to define functional and technical requirements including ratings, protection schemes, controls integration, compliance and safety\nReview designs, drawings, and specifications in collaboration with engineering teams\nEnsure alignment with applicable codes and standards including UL, ANSI, IEEE and NEC\nSupport troubleshooting and root cause analysis for field or manufacturing issues\nCross Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to deliver switchgear solutions\nPartner with sales and solutions engineering to support bids, customer discussions, and technical clarifications\nTranslate customer and market needs into clear product requirements\nCoordinate with operations teams to ensure manufacturability, lead times, and quality targets are met\nCommercial and Supplier Management\nSupport cost modeling, pricing inputs, and margin improvement initiatives\nWork with supply chain to evaluate suppliers, negotiate technical scopes, and improve delivery performance\nAssess total cost of ownership including capital cost, reliability, serviceability, and lifecycle impacts\nMonitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies\nLifecycle Management\nManage products from concept through deployment and end of life\nDrive continuous improvement based on field performance, customer feedback, and operational data\nMaintain product documentation, specifications, and configuration standards\nRequirements\n Basic (Required) Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\n5+ years of experience with LV and MV switchgear, power distribution, or electrical systems\nStrong understanding of electrical power systems and protection concepts\nExperience working with cross functional teams in a technical product or engineering role\nAbility to balance technical depth with business and commercial considerations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in product management, systems engineering, or technical program management\nFamiliarity with generator integration, microgrids, or mission-critical power systems\nExperience working with switchgear manufacturers or EPC environments\nMBA or business coursework is a plus but not required\n Benefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nWellness Programs and Incentives\n401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match\nPaid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time\nPaid Holidays\nHybrid Work Schedule!\nCool Open-Office Concept \nDo you have what it takes to join the ERock team?
