We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.\nRole Overview:\nThe Quality Engineer will be a member of the Quality Team, reporting to the Quality Director in Manufacturing.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduction Quality Support\nProvide Quality guidance to Production on product requirements, specifications, drawings, and acceptance criteria.\nSupport Production in resolving significant, complex, or recurring quality issues.\nParticipate in investigations of quality escapes, customer issues, and significant internal defects.\nDevelop or support development of inspection plans, Quality Plans, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).\nDefine appropriate inspection methods and risk-based sampling requirements.\nSupport First Article Inspection (FAI), final inspection, FAT, and customer-witnessed quality activities.\nWork with Production and Engineering to establish effective defect prevention and containment measures.\nProvide Quality input to process changes, engineering changes, and new product introductions.\nNonconformance & Corrective Action\nManage the technical investigation of internal and supplier nonconformances.\nLead root-cause analysis for significant or recurring quality issues.\nUse structured problem-solving tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and 8D.\nCoordinate containment and corrective-action activities with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers.\nDevelop and document technical corrective actions.\nEvaluate proposed corrective actions for effectiveness from a Quality perspective.\nVerify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.\nSupport MRB activities and provide technical Quality recommendations for disposition.\nIdentify repeat issues and escalate systemic problems to the Quality Manager.\nSupport Quality Alerts and other technical quality communications as required.\nSupplier Quality\nServe as the Quality team's primary technical contact for assigned suppliers.\nReview supplier quality documentation, inspection reports, certificates, and test results as required.\nEstablish risk-based incoming inspection and sampling requirements for purchased components.\nLead supplier nonconformance investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).\nSupport supplier qualification and initial quality assessments.\nParticipate in supplier audits, source inspections, pre-shipment inspections, and supplier FAT activities as required.\nWork with Supply Chain and suppliers to contain and resolve quality issues that may impact production.\nIdentify opportunities to improve supplier quality and reduce incoming defects.\nQuality Planning & Inspection\nIdentify critical-to-quality characteristics and appropriate verification methods.\nEstablish inspection and sampling requirements based on product and process risk.\nReview engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards to establish inspection criteria.\nSupport development of inspection checklists and acceptance criteria.\nFAT & Customer Quality Support\nSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) from a Quality perspective.\nParticipate in FAT preparation, inspection, testing, and customer witnessing activities.\nVerify required inspection and test records are complete and traceable.\nSupport investigation and resolution of FAT failures or customer findings.\nProvide technical Quality support during customer inspections and quality-related discussions.\nRequirements\n Basic (Required) Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)\n2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or a related technical environment.\nExperience with manufacturing quality and supplier quality activities.\nExperience with nonconformance investigation and corrective action.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.\nWorking knowledge of 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D, FMEA, and other quality tools.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\n Preferred Qualifications: (Desirable attributes that go beyond minimum, for better success/alignment with the role)\nExperience with generator assembly, power generation, or industrial equipment.\nSupplier Quality Engineering experience.\nExperience with Factory Acceptance Testing.\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent.\nLean Six Sigma experience.\nExperience with ERP/QMS systems.\n Benefits:\nCompetitive Pay\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with a company contribution\nWellness Programs and Incentives\n401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match\nPaid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time\nPaid Holidays\nCool Open-Office Concept \nDo you have what it takes to join the ERock team?
