We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTake complex, high-level initiatives and turn them into actionable plans, distributing work across engineers based on their strengths and expertise. Track progress and surface blockers across software, infrastructure, and data science.\nHold the team to approved engineering standards and architecture, including code review, branching, release windows, and automated testing. Review work against documented standards and catch deviations before they reach production. Bring proposed changes with reasoning and trade-offs; implement once approved.\nMaintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment management.\nRun triage, escalation, and post-incident review for production issues.\nProvide technical guidance and code review to engineers, and keep documentation current as the system changes.\nMove quickly and experiment with new technologies and approaches while maintaining the engineering discipline required for reliable, production-critical systems.\nEscalate risks, scope changes, and trade-offs early, with a recommendation.\nOther responsibilities as directed by supervisor.\nRequirements\n Basic (Required) Qualifications:\n8+ years of professional software engineering experience.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\n3+ years leading software delivery as a technical lead, delivery lead, staff engineer, or similar role.\nHands-on proficiency with C#/.NET.\nProduction experience building and operating applications on Azure.\nDemonstrated ownership of CI/CD pipelines, branching strategy, and release management in a production environment.\nWorking knowledge of REST APIs, relational databases, and automated testing practices.\nExperience coordinating work across multiple teams or disciplines.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in energy, industrial IoT, manufacturing, or another environment with physical assets and regulatory requirements.\nExperience developing or operating software on resource-constrained or intermittently connected hardware.\nFamiliarity with edge-to-cloud architectures and large-scale telemetry.\nExperienced technical leader who prefers to remain a hands-on individual contributor, leading through technical judgement, execution and influence.\nTrack record of shipping under real deadlines, with the reasoning behind trade-offs made explicit.\nExperience improving engineering practices on a system already in production, without interrupting delivery.\nPragmatic application of agile practices, adapting process to what the work actually needs.\nClear, direct communication with engineers, executives, and cross-functional partners.\nCalm under pressure, with a habit of escalating early rather than absorbing problems.\n Benefits:\nCompetitive Pay\nMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with a company contribution\nWellness Programs and Incentives\n401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match\nPaid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time\nPaid Holidays\nHybrid Work Schedule\nDo you have what it takes to join the ERock team?
