In this role you'll turn complex homebuilding business challenges into practical, scalable JD Edwards solutions.\n\nYou'll own the solution lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering through architecture design, proposal development, implementation guidance, and post-project review, serving as the trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSolution Architecture & Design\nLead discovery sessions to understand client business processes, objectives, challenges, and technical requirements.\n\nTranslate business needs into scalable, practical solution architectures and functional designs.\n\nProduce solution architecture documents, workflow diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.\n\nClient Engagement & Presales\nServe as the Homebuilder subject matter expert during presales engagements, helping clients identify the best solution for their business.\n\nFacilitate discovery workshops and requirements sessions with executives, business users, and technical stakeholders.\n\nPresent solution recommendations with clear business and technical justification.\n\nSupport proposal development, project estimation, and implementation planning.\n\nSet realistic expectations regarding project scope, timelines, costs, and delivery approach.\n\nDelivery Leadership\nMaintain architectural ownership throughout project delivery to ensure solutions are implemented as designed.\n\nCollaborate with project managers, consultants, developers, and client teams to resolve design questions and implementation challenges.\n\nIdentify risks, technical constraints, and scope changes early, recommending practical solutions when adjustments are needed.\n\nReview implementation progress to ensure alignment with architectural standards and client objectives.\n\nParticipate in post-implementation reviews and continuously improve delivery methodologies and best practices.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou know the JD Edwards Homebuilder module well enough to tell a client what will and won't work before the design document is written. You enjoy solving business problems just as much as technical ones, and you're comfortable being the person in the room everyone turns to on homebuilding process questions.\nYou communicate effectively with both executives and technical teams, translating complex concepts into language that builds confidence and trust. You take ownership of your work, make informed decisions, and stay engaged through delivery to ensure your solutions achieve the intended outcomes.\n\nQualifications:\nHands-on functional and technical experience with the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Homebuilder Management module. \n\nPractical understanding of homebuilding and residential construction operations—land and lot management, sales and contracts, options and upgrades, vendor bidding, construction scheduling, and job costing.\n\nExperience designing enterprise technology solutions and translating business requirements into practical technical designs.\n\nExperience facilitating discovery sessions, gathering requirements, and documenting solution designs.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and map complex business processes.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decisions through collaboration.\n\nAbility to estimate implementation effort, identify risks, and recommend practical delivery approaches.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience implementing or upgrading JD Edwards Homebuilder at a production homebuilder or residential developer.\n\nExperience working in-house at a homebuilder, or consulting for multiple homebuilding clients.\n\nConsulting or professional services experience supporting multiple concurrent client engagements.\n\nExperience participating in both presales solution architecture and post-sales implementation.\n\nFamiliarity with system integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise application architecture.\n\nExperience integrating JD Edwards with CRM, estimating, warranty, or field/construction management platforms.\n\nExperience with AI technologies, automation platforms, or modern integration frameworks.\n\nOracle JD Edwards certifications, or certifications in cloud platforms or enterprise architecture. \n\n*ERP Suites supports professional development and will contribute toward relevant certifications for the right candidate.\n\nWhy ERP Suites\n\nAt ERP Suites, Solution Architects do more than design systems—they help shape client strategy and influence business outcomes.
