May operate hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites; dig trenches; excavations support; backfill operations support; decontamination support; traffic control; various fencing install and removal; clean up rubble and debris; and remove hazardous waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Responsible for set-ups and break downs of project sites.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nFollow direction to perform work activities.\nClean and prepare construction sites.\nControl traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.\nSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.\nDig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.\nPosition, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes.\nMeasure, mark, and record openings and distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.\nLoad, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations in accordance with project plans and specifications.\nBuild and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nOne year of industry-related experience.\nMust be able to operate construction tools.\nHave basic math and problem solving skills.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.\nMust be able to stand/walk up to 100% of shift.\nMust pass drug test and background check.\nMust have dependable transportation and valid driver’s license.\nAbility to travel to project sites, as needed.\n40-Hour HAZWOPER training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER refresher.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working on environmental remediation construction projects.\nWashington Salary Range\n$20—$25 USD\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.\nERRG is committed to providing a safe work environment and to fostering the health and well-being of its employees.
