You will support automation, infrastructure reliability, observability, CI/CD enablement, and operational excellence across mission-critical production environments.\nYou will work closely with infrastructure, application, cloud, and database engineering teams to design scalable operational solutions, improve platform resilience, and modernize operations through automation and engineering best practices.\nWhat to do:\nDesign, implement, and maintain automation for infrastructure and PostgreSQL platform operations using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.\n\nBuild and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational tooling.\n\nStandardize and automate platform operations across environments, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and self-service.\n\nOwn the reliability, availability, and operational stability of production platform services.\n\nLead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.\n\nOperate and optimize PostgreSQL environments, including high-availability, replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery setups.\n\nImprove observability, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, logging, metrics, and operational analytics using tools such as Grafana.\n\nContribute to technical roadmaps, documentation, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and adoption of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices.\n\nRequirements\nYou check these boxes:\nAt least 7 years of strong recent working experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.\n\nMinimum of 5 year of recent hands-on experience operating production-critical environments.\n\nStrong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.\n\nRecent project experience with infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code, including Terraform and Ansible.\n\nScripting experience with Python and Bash.\n\nActive strong PostgreSQL administration and production operations working experience, including high availability, replication, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.\n\nExperience with observability, monitoring, incident management, SLAs/SLOs, and reliability engineering practices.\n\nFluent English; German, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, GitOps, Grafana, Zabbix, Patroni, open-source infrastructure, hybrid cloud, or large enterprise environments are preferred.\n\nProfessional Skills\nBuilds reliable systems and thinks ahead about what can go wrong, making sure things keep working and improve over time.\n\nTakes ownership of work from start to finish and works closely with others to get the right outcome for the user.\n\nKeeps things simple, focuses on what matters, and removes unnecessary steps or complexity.\n\nActs quickly on the most important work, adapts when needed, and learns from feedback.\n\nSupports others, leads by example, and helps create an environment where people can do their best work.\n\nLearns fast, adjusts easily to change, and keeps improving in a fast-moving environment.\n\nDelivers strong results and helps raise the level of the whole team.\n\nContributes to a positive team culture by being open, respectful, and constructive, and by not tolerating toxic behavior.\n\nWhy you will like us:\nPossibility to benefit and learn from our international, talented and passionate community at Erste\n\nInterest groups and clubs: Take part in discussions and get involved in projects.
