The successful candidate will assume the role of Shift Team Leader Dublin Stations.\nThe successful candidate will assume a first line management role within the Operations team in Dublin Stations. The shift team leader is responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable and commercial operation of the generating plant and for other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Manager.\nThe successful candidate will be a team player and self-starter with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage, develop and motivate team members. They will also have a demonstrable ability to communicate and relate effectively with staff at all levels in the organisation\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant on site.\nEnsuring the safety of all personnel under his/her control.\nLeading and directing the shift Operations team in their day-to-day activities, rostering, assessing training needs, developing staff and managing individual performance plans.\nParticipation on business projects as required.\nActing in the roles of Safety from the System Co-ordinator (SSC), Work Controller and Control Person, they will manage, administer and ensure compliance with the Safety Rules.\nCompliance with safety and environmental obligations.\nMaintaining a shift operations record (log) and submitting reports as required by the Operations Manager.\nAssisting in the development and implementation of procedures and systems for plant operations, testing and related activities.\nAttending and contributing to scheduled meetings.\nInvolvement in initial front-line maintenance/troubleshooting.\nInteract with other departments as required or directed in the best interests of the business.\nOutage and project management as required.\nExperience and Qualifications\nEssential\nEngineering degree or equivalent or DIT Certificate in Power Plant Technology (Plant Management), or equivalent work experience.\nDesirable\nRelevant experience in a similar role or in power plant operations, maintenance, technology, systems and procedures.\nTrained, authorised and experienced in Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).\nExperience of managing teams.\nUnderstanding of the commercial side of the generation business.\nGood IT skills (Excel, Pi Processbook etc.)\nLocation\nThe successful candidate will be based in Dublin Stations.\nReporting To\nThe successful candidate will report to Operations Manager, Dublin Stations\nWhy Work with Us?\nOpportunity to lead Ireland’s transition to net zero carbon future \nCareer development through mentoring and training \nCorporate Social Responsibility Opportunities \nSports and Social Clubs \nNetworking opportunities \nCredit Union \nGenerous Pension \nAccess to staff well-being programmes \nGenerous parental leave entitlements \nStrong values-based and inclusive culture \nStrong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion \nGreat team environment working to our Core Values: Courageous, Caring, Driven and Trusted \nSalary\n€59,980 -
