General Accountant is responsible for leading general ledger close activities and overseeing tax and statutory outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting and reporting FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESOversee key general ledger areas and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in the system, ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting standards/law and internal policies.\nEnsure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records and statutory financial information submitted to tax and regulatory authorities, including taking formal responsibility for correctness when required.\nEnsure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of accounting records and documentation (digital and physical).\nReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and close outputs for accuracy and completeness.\nPrepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis.\nCoordinate and/or actively cooperate in preparation of statutory financial statements.\nProvide financial inputs for reporting.\nEnsure timely and successful completion of financial audits.\nOversee tax compliance across indirect, withholding, and local taxes as needed.\nManage company's tax obligations in line with local legislation and classify expenses for tax purposes and serve as the point of contact for tax reporting, audits, and inspections as needed to ensure compliance.\nActively lead and drive the testing and validation of new system enhancements, and releases to ensure accurate financial processes, data integrity and process improvements.\nAct as a contact point for HQ Finance team.\nCollaborate with other teams to resolve process and system-related issues.\nMaintain, develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nMentor less experienced colleagues.\nDrive process improvements, projects and goals.\nAct as a backup support for other accounting tasks as needed.\nCooperate with colleagues and external process participants to resolve assigned tasks.\nPlan and coordinate the work of colleagues in accordance with superior's instructions, be responsible for the performance of the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with established procedures and processes and prioritize tasks of colleagues in order to meet established objectives and achieve required results.\nPerform conceptual, systemic, creative and methodical activities.\nCarry out other work according to the instructions of a managing employee in accordance with the activity of the department and the company.\nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation:\nMaster’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration\nProfessional certification (CPA, dipIFR, ACCA) is highly desirable\nExperience:\n7 years of experience in accounting\nBig 4 experience or experience in multinational or complex organizational environments is an advantage\n12 months on the job training\nKnowledge:\nAdvanced knowledge of local GAAP\nIFRS knowledge desirable\nExpertise in financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g. NetSuite)\nAdvanced Excel and data analytics skills\nPrepares and delivers financial and analytical reports to senior leadership\nOrganizational and time-management skills\nAnalytical thinking and ability to work under pressure\nDetail-oriented\nIndependence and proactive approach\nLanguage:\nEnglish: Upper
